Hey, i was wondering if anyone could help me out with 3ds max 2013 problem i have. The model seems to Auto-Smooth the edges (What i do not need, i want sharp ''square'ish'' edges). You can see here: Imageshack.us . The one in the left it makes when i shape the object, but i need the one that looks like on the right side (I got it when i used extrude). I do not have this kind of problem on max 2010, so i dunno how to fix it (shut down the auto smooth or whatever is causing it). Anyone could help?

Well, i can add stuff like where i think it should fit, since i do not decide if they go as corvettes or frigates or what else lol, i just model (and texture some) ;)

Yea, but volus has different textures and logo on it. Volus one here: Google.ee and Turian: Images.wikia.com

I do not know yet what they plan to do with them, i think Cerberus ones were in game already, but not sure. I just uploaded the Models i have 100% ready so we have a little overlook of what we have and can include.

Well Kodiak vs Fighter is not very good idea lol, Kodiak is slower, has weaker weapons and maneuvers slower. So it would be good as an enemy base/ship capture vessel.

Sure you can send me link. But for the moment i am uploading the ME original ships seen in game and i have ready on my profile, then i will work on custom Cerberus ships, and after that i will see what i will do next. Maybe start making Concept ships, but i am not sure since real life gets real busy in few months.

Yeah different size and some minor changes to the wings section mostly, but hull area is same for all i have seen so far.

Model is by me but base texture friend got for me from game. Just needed to update it and UV map the model to fit the textures. But this is only model on what i use parts of original texture from the game since this is main hero ship and need's to be 100% detailed and best looking possible.

But this model probably will be only in my own project since i think Devy got SR2 already for HW mod.

Do not know the final poly count since i gave it to Devy, he makes final touches etc., but it was over 20k i think for my own project, cause it needed to be as HD as possible.

This took bout 4 days only since i used a reaper model as basis and it was easy to modify it to leviathan (since they are kinda one on one style lol)

Check my profile to see the other ships ready so far, i upload them there.

Oh, and i finally got the Shadow Broker Ship ready, i have been waiting to get it finished for ages :D

Heh, well i have 100% all soundtracks from the Mass Effect series and in the game they are as 10 separate tracks (aproximately 30 sec to 1.30 min long), at that youtube link they are just been put together to form one track. They are from Mass Effect 2 DLC - Arrival

That is just someone's own creation as ''main menu'' title, not from the EA itself.

Well, only bad thing is that Nexus is kinda quest/Storyline based and not free play like Homeworld (no skirmish nor many multiplayer persons). Star Trek - Legacy would fit well as base of Mass Effect mod (since space campaign+skirmish mode), or Star Wars: Forces of Corruption (strategy for space+land battle and galactic conquer).

Shuttles are kinda same size like Alliance/Cerberus fighters, i have both but not scaled yet, but you can see them here: Moddb.com

lol more there is the better, like you see a red glow from far and then the reapers come beams blazing and some just stand and glow with lightning effect and look good xD

But that effect can be added kinda like weapons effect, like when weapons charge then the lightning appears on reaper hull. If i remember right, it was like that in ME cutscenes as well, not sure tho.

I have read the bible few years ago. I have nothing against Christianity, people believe what they want. BUT i am against most of the Christians (not against religion, but the People who follow it), from who majority have been twisting the religion itself to follow their own needs and what suits them. I would even support the TRUE Christians if needed, but i haven't met any in my life, YET.
The Christianity itself has done nothing wrong (and could not do since it is a religion), only people who have been crazy hearing ''God's Voice'' in head and got stupid ppl following him/her. Kinda like Crusades. Cause some lunatics, millions die for nothing, or for ''purification'' lol. I mean, how in the world is one person's right to choose who lives and who dies, it goes against fundamental standings of Christianity. So, people following some religion often get bad and evil, and killing in name of ''God'' is not an excuse for me lol.

Well true there. Money and wealth has been motive for war for a long time ago (kings looking untold riches in gold), is now (US attack middle east for Oil for example), and will in be future. Just some people were cleaver and made up many religions to justify themselves in the looks of other people. If i start thinking about non-violent beliefs, cults or systems, only Buddhism comes to mind. If all other cultures would had based the beliefs same way, there would probably be less war and bad things happening in the world.

exactly, same goes for mapping or the modelling, more practice means getting better. Btw you UV map yourself and what program you use to build textures? Also the current texture (the hull one) seems like it has been through battle lol, front is nice clean texture and the middle has like 3 blast looking place :)

lol well, God or Satan don't order people to kill and war with each other, it is in people's nature that they want all be the best, and if it requires eliminating someone they will do it, would still if there would be no such thing as religion. I think Satan is rather peaceful compared to god who raged and supposedly killed almost all with a flood lol.

well, an idea, the city must not be big, it can be some random one on their planet. So maybe the 2 sections are separated by mountain (with an interior mountain complex as well) so the 2 parts are not seen to each other. Also, fog can cloud the low detail areas viewed from the ground level. But yeh it is kinda big problem, we'll work it out eventually anyways lol :)

hmm i just got an idea lol, anyways asurans were destroyed in the show right? if we cant get the city work we could make some unseen ancient vessel what survived and has gate on board (we can take destiny for example), same class vessel perhaps. Since they used same stuff as ancients then the interior and things are same as well and no need to do a whole new model set for them, just some minor changes and addons will do.

Also, big city's can be done with separating sections from each other via gate or something similar. Lod over Wall/Gate should be same like when you walk through, and the places would not lag much at all.

yup, so as time changes, so does any religion or culture, that is just the way of the world these days. People often find it hard to stay on ancient shape of beleif or something because it will go against modern society. So in like in life, religion requires shaping to fit the modern age.

But yea, there are not much true atheist neither, because some find it hard to watch when people are forced to beleif (well, you cant actually convert someone to religion. This ship is supposed to be kinda imperial hybrid ship with very powerful shields and weapons and is faster, but hull is very weak once the shield is gone :-)

well, on the tip of the wings (the tubes) are the lasers, as well the ones near cabin. The dome near the wings are shield generators and the holes on the side are for missiles.

umm from what i have been looking, the things will not dissapear from the place where u put them from the bag (made and ''home'' when i did the main quest, and i think i did it like 200ingame days and the things still did not dissapear).
Concerning atlantis or destiny, they are a big projects (interiors are massive as u know from the show lol). I have them planned but it will take lots of time to compleate. But possibly yea, why not add one room to player own.

Example of my experience/work: well i have medium mapping experience, basically for my own use (havent used any custom prop's to make em, space ones i make better) and have made models with Google Sketchup 7 (for an San andreas mod and eaw mod, what unfortunately failed due the leader of team, and done models for Stargate only, but i think i can learn SW aswell if needed ;))
I can respond within about few hours if im notified or know to wait it (allso can give MSN if needed). But due school it may take little longer, but not more than day or 2 (school starts at 8.00 and i get home bout 17.00-18.00 PM)
So if i fit then pm me k ;)
