Say what you must, but the team has been supplying us with a fair amount of screenshots and videos. Any of the big companies do that kind of stuff? Very rare. It's a different story about the development time, i agree. First time i heard about it was 4 years ago... The sad thing is, i think i grew out of games because they don't interest me at all lately :( Never got to play my dream...

I thought the investor (publisher) takes care of the project funding, which was present and told them "do something without the brand STALKER" At least that's what they explained.

I don't understand. I mean, i realize it's all second sort importance facts - stalker 2 won't be released anymore if this will be cleared out or not... but how come everyone is announcing GSC pretty much "alive"? Aren't the ex team announcing the company closed in their dev diaries videos? Youtube.com here, at 0:00 and 1:03. Correct me where i'm wrong and insert missing data in my brain, please :3

Buying that kind of hardware for games solely itself is throwing away money ;D Especially an 8 core processor(of which i've heard is less effective even than the i7's 4 cores). Well, unless you want to model 3D Nuclear Explosions or something ; ) Put all the cores at use. Most games are console oriented built anyway, so most of them read 1-2 to 4 cores

I'm pretty sure he bought that PC not just specifically for LA :P Plus, nowdays it's a pretty cheap piece, considering it's performance wise, the price/performance ratio is awesome and worth the buy for future games, processing etc.

You don't have to dig in the build archives for that track.

It's called "Dmitry Kuzmenko - Invisible Dangers, part II"

Don't we all wish to know that? :) Regardless, it won't release faster if someone gives a date, especially one that could be delayed again. I suggest taking a brake from this serious waiting and chill a bit. It will be done when it's done. And it'll ROCK!

You need to release that tension and stop struggling to explain yourself, we understand you fine and you don't owe us anything. Like all of us aren't disappointed by the delay? It's just that not many are so thin skinned and sensitive about another month or two's wait to whine here. Life doesn't end and development continues. Just chill.

I only see that as a good gesture from the team. It's pretty obvious they tried hard and done their best to please their fans by making the release possible at 28th. You know they don't just say "hmmm, so we have tons of work to do but how about we just take a wild guess, put a release date and then delay!" sh1t happens, you know? I'm sure they're waiting for the release as much as we do, they need a break from all this work stuff (for free, might i mention...). Chill out peeps. Everyone will be happy in the end.

Yes, x64 was mentioned above. My concern isn't about Stalker, as i said. I'm mostly running pretty much essential (for me) background programs and it's usualy 2.5 gbs normal usage so that leaves stalker with 1,5 and the rest just stays there unused.

Can anybody please tell me if there's a way to make STALKER read more than 4GB's of RAM? Apparently, after i've added another 2GB stick, the installer seems to register only 4096mb. I understand i won't need that much memory in the game, but i've got quite a few background processes, so... help? yes, running on x64 Windows 7

Screenshots look great and so far i'm only seeing continious improvement over the visual aspects of the mod. Very atmospheric.

But what can you guys tell us about the amount of work left so far? Do you think a release is very possible in september or for any reason whatsoever a delay may still be needed? No, not whining or anything, just can't believe that in roughly two more months this long awaited miracle is about to be born ;D

Why's everyone worried about STALKER 2 and Bethesda? I mean, aside from the fact that it's all a big myth and unproven info, it's just plain silly. Segei Grigorovich wanted to sell the brand for quite some money and it's basically a game that's popular (mostly) in post-soviet countries. Less profit. They'd be better off making a new fallout or whatever game. Besides, the real stalker is being developed and FYO it's called "Lost Alpha" :P

I, for one, think the R1 shadows look way better. I mean, just like in real life... you don't see those sharp edged really dark shadows that look like they're casted by a nuclear explosion or something.

Everyone has their own vision of the zone. I, for one, like este's idea. It blends well and a good example for that is when you first travel from the Army Warehouses to Radar. The monolith soldiers, those weirdly shaped trees, ghosts and an antenna that messes with your mind :) But i think it's good the way it was in ShoC: The more you progressed, the more weird things, weird places and weird creatures you get to meet :D A fine concept nonetheless.

Yeah, they really focused on building wide shoulders for their models skeleton. No wonder even in ShoC when people try to import a female it all looks a bit not so... estrogenic? ; )

It would be cool to have a "PSY health guage" which either appears dynamically, either is located in the inventory. So, when a controller or psy wave alike anomalies atack you, your PSY health gets drained. And when you run out of it, you just turn into a zombie and walk senselesly (camera from the back, game over sign) :) I always thought that's the way it should be.
