I could see dystopia taking this one. Although both delta sector and diprip are some tough contenders in their own respective rights. Delta Sector just screams war when you look at it, and diprip has this fantastic apocalyptic feel to it.

But in terms of art, dystopia definitely shows some grand originality, however, as kerensky pointed out, the cyberspace rarely is seen in-game.

although I think eternal silence will be the likely winner, i was really quite amazed by europe in ruins. But in any case, very nice picks. Congrats to all the nominees!

as much as I think the black mesa team would deserve it if that was to happen.. I don't really see why valve will bother.

i'm really quite upset. FF looked amazingly promising when I started watching it when it was announced. I seriously thought that FF's community would grow as quickly as that for the classic that TFC now is. However, every time I log on to play a quick round of FF most servers are empty..and the only servers people seem to be playing on are conc maps, which I find amazingly boring to be perfectly honest.

I'm not saying FF is a bad mod.. not at all but rather that it is a shame that so much work was put into this mod by you guys..and yet here it is looking rather gloomy compared to its main competitor TF2.

I'll definitely still download 2.1 but at the moment I really doubt that it will keep me hooked for long, as the current situation with the community just isn't very promising. In any case. Keep up the great work you guys have done so far. I'll be looking forward to 2.1 (and you should really do a remake of casbah :P).

ahhh i wish i could play d2 again, but my dvd drive buggered up. i think its a hardware problem - and I'm not sure how to fix it.. or if getting a new dvd drive is necessary (if that is the case, I might as well get a new laptop/desktop). In any case.. I miss D2 and those mods look delicious :(

nope we're not dead. However I'm in the process of moving and don't have internet at home (so I can't upload any of the new media). I'm only now just on the internet at work - so I don't have any of the files here.

But rest assured. we're not dead.. and once I got my internet sorted, there will be a massive media update.

besides, thats what makes modding fun - changing and adding to engines to something that they weren't initially meant for.

you're right..the mod team does deserve credit, however with their recent push for PR and getting the community going, they should have made sure that more than just fileplanet (which isn't the greatest choice at the best of times) is available as a download source.

But other than that, it IS a great mod, and wading through the frustration that is fileplanet is worth it.

very nice work. From the environmental style it almost looks like it could be from World of Warcraft. Although as TKAzA said, some movement issues were there. None the less, a fun map, with a fantastic style. Keep up the good work :) 9/10

I think this is a brilliant competition. Good on modDB and Dell. Concept Artists play a vital role on any modding team, whether its a case of visualising that much needed atmosphere, designing a futuristic weapon or vehicle, or simply a character model sheet to give the 3d artists a heads up. After all, why else do they say a picture speaks a thousand words!

I sadly don't draw myself, but I will be following this closely! Good luck everyone, in advance!

I'm quite looking forward to v1.0 :) I keep playing up to lvl 8 over and over and over and over and over. I already got way too many characters set up lol. Got a question I just put the mod files into the M&B folder, or will that that overwrite the original game? If so, do I need to copy the M&B folder and put the mod files in there?

Setis May 20 2008, 3:08pm replied:

you get a free trial till lvl 8, then you will need to pay a one-off fee to play it. If you pay before v1.0 gets released you will pay less :)

I'm glad you're also leaning towards the episodic idea. We definitely don't want this mod to die, so we'll do everything we can to get it to the community. We'd rather have to end up working on it longer than expected, than letting it die!

Setis May 18 2008, 5:43pm replied:

we appreciate the concern, but rest assured, we will work hard and purposefully in order to get this mod out to the community as soon as possible. We've been making some good progress lately, but more on that in the upcoming news release :)
