the launcher is already using a torrent so it can /pause resume download.
Maybe your windows is cleaning/removing the temp files or you don't have enough space on your computer.

not all the maps have simngleplayer supported
and some are outdated after the last patch
(outdated = will crash because something was updated on the original map and bot can't deal with it)

but afaik, the main problem is for multiplayer because the destruction must be spread among the other players so it has a huge impact on the server and the players computers.
if something was possible, most of the mods would have done it imo.
in singleplayer, you don't have these kinds of limitations
No, this is BF2 engine (2005).
There is only a limited amount of destruction: explosive barrel, barbwire, ...
DICE really started env destruction with Bad Company
Maybe in the future, it depends of a playermodel modeler to take this task.

in the launcher, options > video > check "windowed mode" so you can see the error in a popup. This must be related to your graphic card.

I'm not a SP player but remember that those are 2005's bf game bots.
So they all basically follow the same shortest path, shoot through smoke, etc ...
But I hope someone have spotted the most interesting SP maps

This happens if you ticked the "Check for Community Map Pack Updates on launch" box in the "Community Map Pack" section in the options due to the bug in the launcher's source code. This will be fixed in the next patch.

Unfortunately not, FH2 bots are 2005 BF2 multiplayer bots so not very intelligent, running slowly along a path and can see through smoke etc ...
Germans run with their rifle in one hands only and handle their mg differently because mg42,mg34 are heavier to handle.
Helmets are also an easy way to identify your ennemy.
The best is to stick with your squad member so you know which way to shoot and who to shoot at.

The launcher will download the mod for you.
