"Into the Dark" is the biggest release with this engine so far. If you are interested in the engine from a technical standpoint it is more advanced than my games. Homegrown and especially Ivan here is a more technical approach where I bank on aesthetics. :)
This looks much better than a lot of AAA Title physics / gravity /telekinetic gameplay I have seen and its still an Alpha version? :)

No I didn't :)! I made a lot of the models and effects but a lot is also bought media. However, everything has been reworked and modified to suit the game. This is mostly just a collage of media I made for other projects.
In an advanced engine I wouldn't be able to do much at all. I'm a decent level artist in unreal engine but I doubt the possibilitie of making a game all on your own in your sparetime in a bigger engine. The workload is huge.
The sounds themselves are actually pretty neat. Its just the looping and setting in FPSCreator that cuts them off like this. That can be tweaked, but I didn't for this as its a miniproject.

Yes and no! I do try the best I can do... but I only have 3 weeks to work on this little game. You might have red that I ran into problems developing "Dead Frequency" which still prevail. This is just a small game for kicks :)

Technically they are misplaced. (not only because the light does not shine through the window but also due to the masterlight casting unnatural shadow bits.) For instance: the telescope castes a shadow to the left which it would never do under natural lighting. But hey ;) we work with FPSC... At least it looks somewhat good.
Yes! You understood what kind of flair I'm after :) I don't like bloom either and I think its horribly overdone in a ton of games but this game is supposed to be overdone. If I would have full control over the effects, it would have filmscratches, constant flickering and maybe even slight lightrays. The bloom however is adaptive. If you focus on a lightsource, it seizes a bit :)

Ah yes! The glow, the cold wet walls, ...this has a lot of athmosphere to it.
I agree...it IS amazing work but I do find the fantasy rabbit and blood/gore combination with all the violence a bit out of place aswell.
I love how your combat system is already more advanced than in ANY major studio game! :)

I take that one, FPSC X10 turned out to be less powerful than X9 and less supported by the community so the support from TGC has been dropped.

Yes, me too :) But unfortunately I lost a lot of Gamers due to the constant whispering/breathing sounds, the nonstop monsterattacks and all the corpses that where everywhere. The newer version shall have a lot more adventure and survival elements, along with more realism. (I won't confront the player with floating hallways and irregular architecture until the storyline is revealed. It is cleary planned to have a realistic and a completely insane part. We'll see how that turns out :)

If you have service pack 1 installed, the game will not run. I do not yet know why, but the engine crashes on most Win7 Service Pack 1 Versions.

The Screenshot and the description don't really show anything. Maybe you should work a few hours on a project BEFORE you release it.
Also: Creating a Multiplayer Game with FPSCreator is nearly impossible. I'm usually not with people that flame the engine...but when it comes to multiplayer, they are all right.
This game doesn't show anything made by you. All I see is models you bought and ranomdly placed entities in your level.

Ever fired a G3? it doesn' t suck at all ;) Yeah... G36 are way more modernised and look better...but the G3 ist still an awesome weapon. Even though its way too large.

FPSC Engine doesn ´t look like source. Its just that canalyst has a kinda source/half like`ish leveldesign. But that's not a bad thing.

here's a free hint: Try learning how to spell before starting to make games. There are no "Idnie" Games or "miltiplayer". The screenshot you are showing is actually having nothing but media from FPSC Addon packs...so basically you aren't showing us anything.

A word of advice. I know that you are putting in tons of blood sweat and tears in your game. I've been doing stuff long enough myself to know that your own game seems always totally brilliant. However, you can get a ton of competing AAA games for 40 $ and pretty much every other indie game...or even multiple games. I doubt that you will have many sails as this clearly aims to the "classic roleplaying game" audience which isn't large. You have been putting a lot of effort in the visuals, its great! But can't compete with most AAA titles and judgine by the looks of the sword...the combat won't either. My advice would be to sell it for a lot less. That way you will most likely gain more profit from it as more people buy it.
He most likely talks about the shadermaps. These are indeed a bit too much. Other than that, great work so far

I doubt that I will release a voiced clip before the release, simply because voice acting will be the very final draft for it. So it will be in the trailer on youtube later... but the game will be already released then so you can play it :)

I second that. All we ever saw was the core gameplay : fighting. No additional gameplay elements, no story elements...nothing really. I preordered the game and its great!! But I really would prefer it not ending up being tekken with rabbits on generated terrains.

Yes, thats what I planned for melee weapons...but all the enemies are armed futuresoldiers...so a pipe as a weapon would be a cool feature to look at but pointles...well, we'll see if it fits in or not. The weapons aren't that good...keep in mind that its a practice project and the guns are my first models :)
Thats true :) This city looks pretty dark and a bit in the way of dead space, however, the game's setting itself has a lot of steampunk elements. I think I will bring them more to life in future episodes
