It is not just you. It has been my observation that these games have a tendency to randomly crash on some machines but run perfectly fine on another. I never had crashing FPSC games while others with similar settings and operation system have crashes all the time.
I hope that reloaded...the new fpsc...will be more stable.

The game has this classic look to it like games from the aera of hexen etc. with a few modern shaders and 3D models. While I agree that the graveyard looks wierd, I can see that the malevolence team does not try to present an accurately decayed graveyard after a certain period of time. I dig the retro desgin of everything... a bit strong on the shiny/specular shaders though :P

A word of advice. I know that you are putting in tons of blood sweat and tears in your game. I've been doing stuff long enough myself to know that your own game seems always totally brilliant. However, you can get a ton of competing AAA games for 40 $ and pretty much every other indie game...or even multiple games. I doubt that you will have many sails as this clearly aims to the "classic roleplaying game" audience which isn't large. You have been putting a lot of effort in the visuals, its great! But can't compete with most AAA titles and judgine by the looks of the sword...the combat won't either. My advice would be to sell it for a lot less. That way you will most likely gain more profit from it as more people buy it.

I second that. All we ever saw was the core gameplay : fighting. No additional gameplay elements, no story elements...nothing really. I preordered the game and its great!! But I really would prefer it not ending up being tekken with rabbits on generated terrains.

Yes, thats what I planned for melee weapons...but all the enemies are armed futuresoldiers...so a pipe as a weapon would be a cool feature to look at but pointles...well, we'll see if it fits in or not. The weapons aren't that good...keep in mind that its a practice project and the guns are my first models :)

Thats true :) This city looks pretty dark and a bit in the way of dead space, however, the game's setting itself has a lot of steampunk elements. I think I will bring them more to life in future episodes

1. You don't just roll in and make a game, that requires some serious practice. 2. Yes, you need to buy a license. 3. Yes, you can use blender to make your own content. For Unity and cryengine... why would you want to import media from one engine into another?

Well, Psishock didn't come to my mind at first. On the mind map its still callen "the aphrodite complex". Later titles where also Venus related and wierd until "Psishock" came to mind.

I know that a ton of people will think now that its a system shock rip off, but I really do not care.

I took a look at system shock on youtube but I never owned a copy so I cant say that it got inspired by it. Most inspiration comes from scifi movies and novels for the story. The gameplay itself got inspired a bit by call of ctuhlu. I really try to make it as fresh as I can in FPSC ...and thats not easy :P

Hey! Yeah, I can't wait for Doom4 either. I just hope its not one of these modernday games where all you have to do is press "e" at certain points. I hope for some serious shooting :D

Anyway, the game is more ...like condemned if anything when it comes to the combat. However, there isn't that much shooting in there...at first you are beating things up with a pipe :P

Actually, this looks way too legit for an "into" game. Where is all the cheese? This looks like you guys are now prototyping for a decent "serious" shooter.

Well, I'm afraid there is no easy answer for that as it boils down to 3D and 2D Art. You just assemble it in FPSCreator everything else pretty much happens in external software. I can only advise you to look for tutorials on whatever 3D and 2D software you like the most. I use paint shop and milkshape. Both are rather affordable and easy to learn.

No Problem:

Open the Folder where you installed fpsc and find a file named "setup.ini".

Open it and change the following lines:
"
key1=200
key2=208
key3=203
key4=205
"

You can use the directional keys now.
Dont forget to save the file!

BTW: You might want to wait until Moddb authentified the Patch I've uploaded to play the game without bugs
