Who really has time to think about a summary of himself on the internet? I like art, women, gamedesign and I love coffee. Everything else is too much information.
Glad to see you keep it up ;)
It is not just you. It has been my observation that these games have a tendency to randomly crash on some machines but run perfectly fine on another. I never had crashing FPSC games while others with similar settings and operation system have crashes all the time.
I hope that reloaded...the new fpsc...will be more stable.
If you use a "clone brush", you can easily remove these mirroring artifacts visible next to the lightsource ;)
;) Its an old model. I have marmoset now :)
I never asked for this.
Hey man! A few more screens and infos might give you more views and interest! So far I dont know if its an other FPSC clusterhump or a decent game. :)
After a lot more messing around I'm afraid. If I would have to guess, I'd have to say that I'm only 25 % done. ...thats already substantial but far from done. Thanks for the interest though ;)
Please keep in mind that its a one-man-show I'm pulling of here. :P
Come on man! This shows the worst of fpsc. Why upload this to this gallery?
Milkshape 3d :) Its quite affordable and easy to use.
Its best in combination with fragmotion.
There is nothing in your screenshots...nothing! Just empty rooms and models you have bought. Please, there is nothing wrong with making a simple game but if you want to present it here it would be nice to see at least some effort put into it.
Even the game menue uses stock stuff...why post a picture of that?
Its from an alpha so its still a bit rough on the edges;)
The materials are a bit plain, looks good otherwise! Very slick futuristic design :)
I know its not the primary focus of your games but your visual style has improved a lot! This looks like a game I would actually buy. I'm looking forward for more and I'm interested in what the gameplay will be like :D
While you totally blow at FPSC you kinda have a mojo going in source. Looking good man!! Keep this up!
This guest was me...wasn't logged in :)
Certainly a creative idea :)
Thanks! :) To be honest: there are a bunch of titles out there that look alot better. But there are also a lot of kids out there making godawful zombiegames so its hard to find them in that mass.
Aren't the blue guys the bad guys? :)
The game has this classic look to it like games from the aera of hexen etc. with a few modern shaders and 3D models. While I agree that the graveyard looks wierd, I can see that the malevolence team does not try to present an accurately decayed graveyard after a certain period of time. I dig the retro desgin of everything... a bit strong on the shiny/specular shaders though :P
that looks like a great server :P
Thank you! I tried to avoid using too many shader effects and specular highlighting. It just feels more real that way.
I'm afraid you can't do that, dave.
I aim for september, but can't make any promises.
You guys made it in the important news box! Good job ;)
Logic is the only thing you need to survive. Creativity is the only thing you need to really live. You'll figure that out...trust me.
This might even happen...we'll see what the future will bring. Up to this point, it remains and FPSC title
Ah yes! nice to see this thing evolve. Just dont fall asleep working on that trainthing, we want "into the dark" !!
Great one mate! keep it up. I'm glad to see this on IndieDb.
Oh yes! It is! :) Thank you!
I certainly will... might just take a while ;)
Awesome work wray ;)
This looks pretty good. Threatening in a good way. Maybe a little too clean though ;)
"This is a game best played in the dark and for those who love a good experience. The final release of this game will be submitted to Desura to go on sale at a reasonable price. This is a game that I'm sure any horror and puzzle fan alike will enjoy. " Those are pretty promising claims for a fpsc game that, to this moment only shows some bland rooms with stock models and not exactly fitting texture work. Also, you must have translated the title with some googletranslator as its nonsense: correct german would be "Fliehe aus dem Bunker" or "Entkomme aus dem Bunker"
:) Great indoor scene. Nice industrial environment.
thank you! :)
You think? :O I really like that floor...
here's a free hint: Try learning how to spell before starting to make games. There are no "Idnie" Games or "miltiplayer". The screenshot you are showing is actually having nothing but media from FPSC Addon packs...so basically you aren't showing us anything.
Thats a whole different story then :) Best luck with the game!
A word of advice. I know that you are putting in tons of blood sweat and tears in your game. I've been doing stuff long enough myself to know that your own game seems always totally brilliant. However, you can get a ton of competing AAA games for 40 $ and pretty much every other indie game...or even multiple games. I doubt that you will have many sails as this clearly aims to the "classic roleplaying game" audience which isn't large. You have been putting a lot of effort in the visuals, its great! But can't compete with most AAA titles and judgine by the looks of the sword...the combat won't either. My advice would be to sell it for a lot less. That way you will most likely gain more profit from it as more people buy it.
I second that. All we ever saw was the core gameplay : fighting. No additional gameplay elements, no story elements...nothing really. I preordered the game and its great!! But I really would prefer it not ending up being tekken with rabbits on generated terrains.
thanks! Yes, thats what I planned for melee weapons...but all the enemies are armed futuresoldiers...so a pipe as a weapon would be a cool feature to look at but pointles...well, we'll see if it fits in or not. The weapons aren't that good...keep in mind that its a practice project and the guns are my first models :)
Thats true :) This city looks pretty dark and a bit in the way of dead space, however, the game's setting itself has a lot of steampunk elements. I think I will bring them more to life in future episodes
None, its a bit older and I never used that scene. I have a similar one in my actual project though
there is just no way to say anything positive about it.
This looks brilliant!
Thanks! I hope so. The engine ain't great but user friendly and can do some cool stuff if you use it right.
You actually can use it for a melee attack :)
Why is this here?
No one cares, babe ;)
And the new version was really a blast! Gunhandling felt almost real and I have no clue how you made some HUD effects :)
I'll give you a better review on the forum!
Lets see if you impress me *giggles*
Thank you! Glad you like it :)
Better than most if used correctly
Holy Cow! This nukes, dude! Damn fine work!
Why the secrecy? These awesome profiles must be linked in every damn forum!! This is some damn awesome work, dude!
Thank you! :) The game is an adventure. It has no RPG Type Gameplay such as a leveling system. Combat however will be action based.
Please note that this game might NOT work on Windows 7 using Service Pack 1
You sure know how to use shaders! Nice work!
Nah! Me failing at the diffuse texture =D Gonna add some skin color later. I just wanted to show off the shading.
Try not to use the same floor texture as ceiling texture.
Thanks for the idea! I don't think I'll keep working on this game. My new project is a bit too time consuming.
However, I will add the 2 Levels as Bonuscontent to the new Game. ("Relict")
looking damn promising! Keep it up!
Depending on the bugs I'll experience, I can release a Demo in 2 or 3 Weeks. Thanks for your support! :)
hmm...is that good or bad? :)
Thank you! :)
A "lot of details" would be a 300 pages novel ;)
I know! But its always exciting to see such interactive stuff the player is actually able to pick up "with his hands" :)
Yes! I'm learning to handle Blender at the moment :)
Wow? Really? :O Awesome!
Looks empty and unaesthetic. Why is there a chair? What is that big green thing there? Why are there Biohazard signs on the windows...needs a lot of work there :)
Keep it up!
Awesome use of Shaders! I still owe you a review ;)
Nice to see another Class AA FPSC Game here! :D
How about the download link? :) Tracking!
Awesome use of Shaders :)
creepy! I love the athmosphere!
I'm Luxemburgian. I speak french, german and english.
I have a lot of friend who help me out with models and stuff...but actually its just me working on it.
Ah! Beautiful outdoor level.
thanks for tracking ;) Yes! Its my favorite genre :)
Its a shotgun
what? Wep bash? :D
Made to shoot around corners... I saw these thins in a few videos but I don' t think they work.
Thats actually not showing anything :P
Hey there! I just googled for killing floor and it looks awesome! Thanks for the tip ;) I'll check it out ;)
Whats "bloat" and whats "killing floor"? :)
Bam! I love it! =:0]
Sign and agree...to me, most source projects have the same style/look exactly the same.
You already know it...but I love that!
This is a censored shot. The Full Version wo' t have blured away breasts :)
Thanks for playing :)
I love the Morbid Athmosphere the warm yellow light gives this scene!
No xD A flashlight would ruin the athmosphere :P
Thanks there! Mate!
Ah yes! The glow, the cold wet walls, ...this has a lot of athmosphere to it.
I agree...it IS amazing work but I do find the fantasy rabbit and blood/gore combination with all the violence a bit out of place aswell.
I love how your combat system is already more advanced than in ANY major studio game! :)
Moved to unreal engine :) But thanks for the tipp! :)
Well, what exactly do you want to know? How I model, how I map, how I retexture media I bought/downloaded or how I mix sounds, play music?
Yes they are :) The FPSCreator version is discontinued :)
I'm glad you like them.
Of course not, you dimwit!
About the alpha:
Actually, I don't like it yet (YET!). But seeing how people react to it, I'm the only one and I'm kind of an ******* anyway so thats okay. :)
You guys are working on the bought textures and sounds a little bit more right?
I'm not a big fan of how source renders light. Thats why I moved on to UDK. I like the overall working environment better.
Most fun I ever had since I started to make games. Amazing engine, amazing tools.
Stunning presentation. Not only is this my favorite genre of game but it's also made in my favorite game engine :)
The artwork presentation looks very athmospheric. I'm looking forward to this!
Exactly the kind of indie game I like...tracking :)
1. You don't just roll in and make a game, that requires some serious practice. 2. Yes, you need to buy a license. 3. Yes, you can use blender to make your own content. For Unity and cryengine... why would you want to import media from one engine into another?
Thank you ;)
Maybe... it might also end up costing something below 5 dollars :)
or..if I team up with some other developers and end up making something huge out of this, it might be a larger release. Its really hard to tell this early in the development.
My mainproject (Relict) is currently being developed in UDK. I don't think I am ready yet to develop something like this in UDK though. I just want to make one last game in fpsc this year...to close this chapter :)
Wolf is me, for those who dont know :D
Just google "Euthanasia Game" :)
Well, Psishock didn't come to my mind at first. On the mind map its still callen "the aphrodite complex". Later titles where also Venus related and wierd until "Psishock" came to mind.
I know that a ton of people will think now that its a system shock rip off, but I really do not care.
I took a look at system shock on youtube but I never owned a copy so I cant say that it got inspired by it. Most inspiration comes from scifi movies and novels for the story. The gameplay itself got inspired a bit by call of ctuhlu. I really try to make it as fresh as I can in FPSC ...and thats not easy :P
Hey! Yeah, I can't wait for Doom4 either. I just hope its not one of these modernday games where all you have to do is press "e" at certain points. I hope for some serious shooting :D
Anyway, the game is more ...like condemned if anything when it comes to the combat. However, there isn't that much shooting in there...at first you are beating things up with a pipe :P
Thanks for the interest! I hope I can punch out some demo soon.
Hey sure! I would like to take a look at them :)
there is a system shock 3?
Very creative! Good luck with the further development mate :)
Actually, this looks way too legit for an "into" game. Where is all the cheese? This looks like you guys are now prototyping for a decent "serious" shooter.
You have a tendency to make really interesting ceilings here :)
Good work 'n' tracking!
You deserve more views and watchers! ;)
Looks authentic! Good work.
Great to hear! :) I'll try and get a demo out as soon as I can.
Hey! Glad you like it.
Well, I'm afraid there is no easy answer for that as it boils down to 3D and 2D Art. You just assemble it in FPSCreator everything else pretty much happens in external software. I can only advise you to look for tutorials on whatever 3D and 2D software you like the most. I use paint shop and milkshape. Both are rather affordable and easy to learn.
Maybe add some content other than giant emtpy rooms?
Aaah! Come on! Its the internet!, someone had to come up with the game being "political" :D Interesting post anyway. :)
Thank you! :) If I havent made myself clear before: this minigame does not have advanced AI that uses cover etc. :)
I can't really say how long the average playthrough will be but I have a ton of content on paper for this,so I guess it gets up to a few hours.
No sir! :)
And absolute piece of fpsc gold :) Keep it up!
I dont use FPSC 10. Besides...never use unedited stock AI, its just lazy.
Thanks! You get an image of some weapons in the next update :)
I'll wite that on the back of the dvdcase :)
Thank you! Thats the time I will be working on this anyway :)
Sure! :D Would like to hear it :)
Sure! Thanks man!
Nice looking. You shouldn't use the same ceilingtexture as you use for the floor though.
Okay... if not, you can search for "Nickydude community guide". Its a pdf where there is an image of a keayboard that says what key is what. ("what key is what?!" my english skills are so low today :D)
I do what I can :)
Open the Folder where you installed fpsc and find a file named "setup.ini".
Open it and change the following lines:
You can use the directional keys now.
Dont forget to save the file!
BTW: You might want to wait until Moddb authentified the Patch I've uploaded to play the game without bugs
Breathtaking... a remake of one of my favorites...and it comes out perfectly :)
A classic in a new design :D
How about ironsights?
