For now, It's "just" a nine barreled shotgun. Sometimes, it can be a good alternative to the original one because it's more accurate ( but less powerful ). It's a middleway between the Pistol and the Shotgun.

Yeah but, in PC, running is useful when you're trying to escape from a large group of enemies. Think about the realism: it's really difficult, in real life, to use a Machinegun or a Shotgun ( or a Rocketlauncher :P ) while running.
