Do you have any suggestions regarding what you'd like to see? I have made many changes since the first video I released, but development of the core mechanics is still on-going so i'm open to implementing new ideas. I will try and post an updated video soon so you can see what has changed.

Sorry for the late response, i'm sure you're no longer bothered at this stage, but basically the 'ghost' in question is Alexander from the base Amnesia game, in my story he is called Edwin. You meet him after escaping the cellar area, he appears in one of the bedrooms and tells you he is watching over you and will assist you if he can. If you miss an orb piece he will present it to you as you enter the Inner Sanctum.

If you missed the piece from the basement the ghost will appear when you enter the Inner Sanctum, and the piece will be on the floor near the orb pedestal.

I'm glad you liked the story :)

The story has been designed so that the player cannot progress unless the orb pieces are picked up. There is only one instance where this can happen (the Orb piece in the Basement can potentially be missed) so if the player misses this one the ghost of the Earl appears and presents it to the player.

Did you realise there is a final piece to collect in the Inner Sanctum right at the end?

The locations for all the pieces (spoilers to follow for those bothered):

Secret Room in the West Wing
Dining Room Gun Cabinet
In the cellar section of the East Wing
Basement
Back Hall
Inner Sanctum

Im sorry, what do you mean I copied Machine For Pigs? I used assets from that game which the game developers encouraged people to do. How I used them and the story I wrote are unique.

i5 4690k, GTX 1070 8gb, 16gb DDR3 RAM. Story ran flawlessly until after the graveyard part, next map took a lot longer to load than the others but eventually did, however around 10 seconds after loading into it I got a runtime error. I hope you can fix as so far your story is superbly well done.

Yeah it sucks, I wish I could do more to help. The problem is the engine used for AMFP had been modified, so although all the assets work with The Dark Descent they can still cause unusual problems. I will test out a modified version of the Side Entrance asap, and if I can fix the issue with this map I should be able to do it for the entire story, then I will post a patch.

What are your hardware specs? Unfortunately older graphics cards along with Intel HD graphics cards seem to have problems running this story, the AMFP files are likely the cause for this. I am going to attempt find out if certain objects cause the crashes, and if im successful I will post a modified version of the story with these items removed so people with older cards can play it.

If you have 3 pieces of Orb the Lantern is right around the corner. You will find it when you enter the Basement.

To launch Justine double click Amnesia in Steam, then instead of selecting Play select 'run settings launcher', in the bottom right of the box that appears there should be a button for Justine. If this button isnt there then yes you may have some issue with your installation.

There is a problem with Intel HD graphics and other lower end graphics cards when it comes to this story. I have yet to find a solution unfortunately, but I believe it has something to do with the AMFP assets. I will attempt to contact frictional games on twitter, they may know the cause of the problem.

The bucket of Tar was collected from the Cabin. The game wont let you leave the Cabin without collecting the Tar so it must be in your inventory unless something bugged out with it.

The item that you do have, have you tried using it on the pedestal itself not the orb piece? If it still wont work I might be able to sort you a quick fix, direct message me your email address and i'll send over a file which should add the Tar to your inventory.

You have to use the bucket of tar on the pedestal. The message that appears should say something along the lines of 'an adhesive is required to hold the pieces together'.

I dont know what would cause this issue, did you download the large 1.4gb file and extract the 'Curse of Ripley Manor' folder into your custom stories folder?

What are your PC specs? Someone else contacted me about crashing and it turns out he was running Intel HD integrated graphics and this was causing the crashes.

You have to extract the 'Curse of Ripley Manor' folder into your custom stories folder, just drag the folder in. Then it will work.

If you go inside the 'Curse of Ripley Manor' folder can you confirm there is a file called 'custom_story_settings'? And do you see folders for entities, static objects, music, sounds, etc?

Can you confirm how you installed the mod? All you need to do is download the 1.04 full version file, and then copy the contained folder to you custom stories folder.

Do you have Amnesia patch 1.3.1? Do you have any of the pig enemies installed in your Amnesia enemies folder? If you already have the enemies installed they could be overwriting my enemies, and the patch is needed for a lot of stuff to work properly.
