I like style of the music, but it's way too stressful, I wouldn't be able to relax while playing and it clashes with the calm feel of the level itself, with blue skies and fluffy clouds..
Good luck with the level! I'd say add some blue in those shadows and it will blend better with the sky and look much less gray :)

I love the look of this.
I tried it out for a bit, the keyboard controls were all wonky, the game looked quite zoomed in and there was no clear graphical indication of things you could interact with, apart from quests.
I love the feel and the idea of the game, but I can't endorse the current gameplay.
This video is really old and just generally bad.. Can't wait to show of some proper gameplay..

I've played a bit of Spirited Heart, but you're facing the same kind of pricing issue over there as well.
I'm gonna watch this and buy it if the price drops to a level I'm comfortable with.

Awesome game, only tried the demo so far but I really like the feel and look of it.
There's only one issue, there needs to be a restart level choice when you die.
Too many menus to go through to get back into the action ;D

Well the kickstarter page has some pretty clear goals, if you check the parts about GUI, Medals, Suppression fire mechanics, etc.
These are things the team wants to do, which requires a bit of extra funding.
I'm not an old X-com fan.
But this game caught my interest a while back and I've been hooked since then. I just love the setting and feeling I get when playing.
The serious and harsh tone, the implications of a coming invasion.
Especially the music which helps to set the mood extremely well.
The new X-com doesn't seem to have any of that, the design just looks bland and your soldiers are being portrayed as super heroes.
Love your GUI ideas on the kickstarter page, really hope people will back this!

Game Design 101: The more ridiculous fonts you manage to squeeze into a game the more awesome it is.
That makes things a bit more streamlined :)
Well, I'm sure I can get used to it, but I still believe it would be better without it. An option for a transparent chat would be preferable.
By the way, the first thing new players experience are the cumbersome profile and character menus.
I don't think there's an excuse for having it text based instead of being able to select your profile in a list like your character.
Adding artwork to the character selection screen would be a huge improvement.
Also, it feels like there are a bit too many sub menus. For example instead having load character/new character, you can just list all available characters and put 'new character' at the bottom.
Or why not just merge it with profile selection too and add a 'change profile' button.
Right now it takes quite some time to actually get into the game and I think that's a problem for a lot of new players.
Especially since it's quite tricky to actually get in to singleplayer, having to first talk to the npc, select singleplayer, then talk to him again (it's easy to miss that the dialogue options change after you select singleplayer) and select chapter.
I walked around for like 15 minutes thinking I could exit the area through the edges of the map somehow..
Sorry for being overly critical, I really like the game but I don't think people are giving it a fair chance due to some of the things I've pointed out.
Good job, but why not change the screen layout of the buttons to the same as the arrow keys?

As a new player I was confused about what I could do in the lobby/hub..
It would make more sense to divide the various things into different NPCs.
Like buying/selling would be one NPC and gambling would be another.
It's harder to miss an NPC than a chest after all, since NPCs are a natural point of interaction in RPGs.
And finally, will you ever get rid of the large party section at the top of the screen?

Yeah, I do like Minecraft too..
But it's good for the indie scene if other titles gets some attention as well..
Minecraft has a huge playerbase though and lots of loyal fans who thinks they're doing the game a favour by constantly voting for it in polls like this.

I think the walking animation needs a few more frames, also his back and neck looks quite stiff..
