NASA recently held a public poll to decide the name of the new node for the International Space Station (ISS). However this poll was hijacked by fans of The Colbert Report, resulting in the overall winner being Colbert.
But NASA has a policy of not naming things after living people, so NASA named the module Tranquility, as it was the 2nd most popular name. To go one step further, NASA decided to name the new treadmill for the ISS after Colbert: Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill (C.O.L.B.E.R.T.).
As an added bonus, C.O.L.B.E.R.T. will be located inside Tranquility.
old news :P
Thank you, very helpful.
