The weapons have been replaced with a new design, weapons repositioned for 360 degree coverage, "wings" redesigned, engines redesigned, detail added, fixes to structural problems and the fuselage widened.

are you sure?
oh... now that's a beautiful looking ship
Thanks. Not too many polys either (if you remove the weapons and reduce the detail of the engines).
how many exactly?
141,710 triangles (115,587 edges and 43,640 faces) with weapons.
18,299 triangles (15,417 edges and 6,410 faces) without weapons.
wow... what a difference!
Yeah, the weapons that I model are pretty high detail.
Which can be good and bad.
Well, I like high detail. If you want a simple turret, it would be a block with two square "barrels". :P
Each quad light turret has 1,928 edges and 664 faces. So, there are 30 of them on this ship, 72 on the Lancer and 282 on the Sabre...it adds up to quite a big number pretty quickly.
cool
Thanks.
New ship! Coolness man.
Thanks!
I like it Scarecrow. Kinda looks like a mix of Ancient and human.
Thanks also!
Sweet man, I wish could do stuff like that....then my mod would not be dieing.
Why don't you learn?
cuz the mod is dead now....
Ah, right. Too bad.
i would like to learn but i cant seem to find a good tutorial or the tools or program to do it.
I use Google SketchUp which is free, is easy to learn, but isn't really for making models for games.
Well, if you want to make models for games, you should start using Blender or 3Ds Max. Blender is free, 3Ds Max is not, but they are very powerful modelling tools. Both of these programs will take a while to learn, but it will be worth it. I'm not sure about any tutorial sites, sorry.
Thanks very useful.
No problem.
