incredible, absolutely incredible. We could certainly use someone like you in war begins...
Very! nice, We could use you also! I could see this becoming a tug-a-war eh Mularac? :P
Well thank you very much. Being humble here, there are a tonne of people way better than me.
Um...OK, can I have the first bid! :P
But firstly, if you are actually interested, you have to understand that I can only really model on SketchUp.
This is a reply to both Mularac and flyboy.
to flyboy: hehe, you can try, but you'll loose. We got the top100 of 2008 moty to back us up XD.
to scarecrow: I honestly don't know, but shouldn't the models made in sketch up be imported to other software, like lightwave or 3d studio max and edited there?
I've got 3d studio max but still trying to get used to it cos its a pain in the arse.
You can export sketch up files into 3d max files in sketchup pro which I have.
And yea you would win right now my mid team is me and my friend who codes :P
Edit: I only use sketchup also.
I see, but I don't have SketchUp Pro or 3ds Max.
i do, i can convert models for you sometime.
Thanks for the offer. If my plan to use Blender doesn't work, I'll give you a shout.
well, it wouldn't matter if you didn't have 3ds max, a member of our mod team does, all you had to do is convert the model with sketchup (if you can with that version) and gave it to him. He would edit and place it on the game (if it is possible, we're talking about a big IF here)
It's up to you. The free version of SketchUp can export 3ds Max files, but I can import the file into Blender and export it as a .3ds file or other.
so, you're interested?
Yes, but it depends what you want me to do with SketchUp.
well, what you do best, models. I don't know yet what models you'll be doing, that's up to the group's leader. BTW, how good are your texturing skills?
Haven't really tried texturing before. So I can't say I'm good or anything. The shot that you see above was my first attempt.
and I must say that I'm truly impressed. Ok, if you want to be a part of our mod group you need to contact our mod leader, he will guide you through: there's his email: p.morpheus@gmail.com
I didn't have time to tell him about our conversation, but I'll let him know when I talk to him.
I'm looking forward working with you
Thanks for the invite. I'll get around to contacting your mod leader in the next few days.
