Some wide angle shots from the hangar in the Sabre - Class Battlecruiser. Done on Google SketchUp 7.
Damn JPEG compression!!!
make it PNG then, and this is Just awesome, who controls this Battlecrusier?Empire or Republic ?
Um, no one. It's a part of my hybrid starfleet, although the Sabre is based on an Imperial Star Destroyer, (it is about 3 larger).
The JPEGs looked fine on my computer, until they were uploaded.
And thank you.
cool... cool... so bloody cool....
Thank you too. Now I just have to design all of my other starfighters, bombers, transports...it's going to take a while with uni taking most of my time.
i hope you get an award.
I don't think I'm good enough. Thanks for the vote of confidence anyway.
How long did it take you to do this cos its awesome.
Also i wonder how long it would take to render if you applied textures to everything and applied lighting effects. Cos it would take quite a long time.
I'm not sure, I didn't exactly keep track of the time spent...probably 2 hours just for the hangar. The rest of the ship...probably about a week total time. Moddb.com
I think i would rather watch paint dry than wait for it to render.
No, 2 hours was the build time for the hangar and a week was the build time for the ship.
I don't need to render anything in SketchUp, I just export screenshots.
This was a screenshot. I only stick it in the rendering program if I apply textures and lighting.
Oh i thought you already applied the textures and lighting effects. It still took a long time to build though.
Yeah, well a model with over 1.5 million edges...you know.
Thats torture!
More or less.
And it's still not finished.
good to know :)
Now it's finished.
