The galaxy would still be fraked up, but....

The Goa'uld aren't exactly the best military strategists and Ori tech is so powerful. So attacking the Ori head-on with Ha'tak and mass suicide charges means there would be more dead Jaffa.

It depends on the genre and on the base game. One other thing to consider is the size of the player base, having a small community makes it difficult to sustain the life of the mod.

I played the Just Cause 2 MP mod, it was great and pretty well polished, considering the large scale.

True, however, O'Neil would be a humourless, one L-ed character. Unlike the O'Neill we got to know and love who always had some levity.

Dare I say any Stargate is good?

Yeah, but it seems like he is actually in talks with MGM now. It would really suck if they go off in a different direction and don't follow on from the series.

Good news (maybe) everyone! Roland Emmerich (director and co-writer for the original Stargate film) has pitched a rebooted Stargate film trilogy to MGM.

Now before we get too excited, the word "rebooted" is of most concern, I really, really hope they don't ignore the storylines of the 3 TV series....if MGM agrees to fund a film or three.

"Stargate SG-1: Unleashed Episode 2" has been announced for release sometime in September-November 2013. It also seems like they have fixed the bugs found in the Android edition of Episode 1.
