Thanks for this mod. It was an absolute pleasure to play. It was great to see the use of various archetypal characteristics used in many great mediums. A mix of various horror techniques and a bit of 'oh hell no' moments similar to the game Amnesia. You really nailed the atmosphere on the head. Had a bit of a feeling of 'the Thing'. I can't really say I had a problem with the mod. Very reminiscent of the hardcore game designs popularly seen in the 90's. I appreciate that and the lack of hand holding. I look forward to seeing what you guys offer in the next project!

Though your projects utilize a lot of Crysis assets right? I'm unsure how the SDK is handled, but I'd think maybe the standalone requires original assets. Well whatever happens, I look forward to it.

Not its not. Made before Amnesia. If anything, Amnesia/Penumbra were inspired by Call of Cthulhu: Darkest Corners of the Earth. Completely different plot too.
Where have you been, under a rock? Desura was a mod centric alternative to Steam. Now grown to involve games, mainly indie productions.
Why did you call the Teaser 'Minimal'? Also why do you have a 'download' button on the site, and not a media/image gallery?
Blurs are best implemented through DX11, especially with the Bokeh Blur used in this image. Shouldn't be hard, but I knew right away this look nothing like Source Engine. Maybe UDK, right out of the box, but not Source.

You use Kickstarter to sell your game, not the 'what you'll get when you donate'. That is secondary. Its REALLY bad form to upfront state what you get if you donate.

Its pretty much just a virtual desktop. Instead of shortcuts on your desktop, its a virtual environment in which your shortcuts are 3d arcade cabinents, posters, etc. Launching them will launch them however they usually launch outside of the program.
Is it so bad that I was turned on by all the talk of ruMpel, giant ****, and taking his load? is this an offer on ruMpels part? :P

Color me interested. I started a project exactly like this a long time ago over at Garry's Mod.....then it became nothing more than a design document in the Archives at work.

Keep up the great work. Minecraft gave hope that survival can really be done, now from what I've seen here, we can finally get a definitive survival experience. :) Can't wait to see gameplay and screens.

First thing I noticed about this project was the name. Psishock. Simliar to Bioshock or System Shock. Then I looked at your screenshots, very system shock-esque. Are you getting a lot of inspiration from these games or is it just an bad coincidence that they both share the same ideas?
I only say this because so many people are comparing it to Dead Space and Doom yet System Shock is the closest most obvious comparison.
Well a lot of the popularity for that video was because it made everyone Nostalgic for the old Titanic: Adventure out of Time game, which I believe would be awesome remade in Cryengine. Sure you're not doing that, but nonetheless the cryengine's beauty does everything perfectly. Especially that problem you had with the breakaway technique.
My thoughts is, what are you trying to prove? That you can make titanic in Mafia or that you are trying to make a definitive experience for the titanic? The former will be great but the limitations itself from that engine prevent the capabilities of the experience.
I'm not saying stop doing this, but I am saying your options are still open, without you being branded as a person of failure or a person who has given up.
