From what I understand, some of the features used are not compatible with jfDuke engine. You will probably need to use eDuke instead, which can be done by just copying the Duke3d.grp from megaton into the eduke folder. (I'm not going to hold your hand with the process)
Too bad that all the devs that ordered a Dev Kit have to wait it out through all the orders purchased by consumers....seriously if you want to get an Oculus Rift, wait for the Consumer edition.
haha, saw the post on the frontpage. Even though I see enough in Duke4.net, i'm always down to read/look at more content from you awesome game. :D
I think it was more of a compliment than a criticism of your abilities. You were great before and now you're even better. :) I'll contest to your abilities.
Its the UE3 engine, not UT3. The UT3 engine is REALLY old. Not to mention, this is Killing Floor, which uses an older UE3 engine. UE3 is just a name without the version number.
I'll pass on any AVP content. Alien is a neglected world/series overwhelmed with AVP BS. Just give me a simple Aliens game, thats all we ask for.
You do know its not cell shading right?
Heads up bro, you forgot to change your links under the 'Artworks' page of your blog when you switched over to a new site. ;)
No, and I have experience in many editors. Skyrim is my third favorite. Second being Cryengine and first being Unity.
Because most of the post was uninformed and baseless?
Skyrim, an annoying editor? Are you a complete idiot? Ugh forget it.
You can't challenge yourself unless you know what you're doing. Else you'll be missing crucial little details that otherwise would of made you a better developer.
Just as I imagined such a system to work. You're proving a lot of my concepts right. :D I really can't wait to test this game out. :D
You have a hard time playing new games too, don't you?
Was it really a great idea to fill your teaser/trailer with glitches? Looks great, but it was tainted by flashing models, clipping, and some very bad cuts.
EDIT: and I forgot to track. :D TRACKING!
What I don't understand is how people are releasing "Uncut Mods" even though BMS isn't officially complete.
Not a very functional hologram, yes?
Saying 10,000 years seem a little extreme, yes, but you could of just said 'Couple of Millenia in the Future' and seem a bit more believable and less fourth grader learning numbers.
Keep up the great work guys. Been a fan since day one of the first internet announcement. Blow my mind away with your vision. ^_^
Is this coming to Desura?
Two questions. Any idea of when Part 1 of V2 is out? Also is there any plans to offer an option to rid the game of the visual widescreen black bars? Its cool when you have an old monitor but it jars the game for those with widescreen. It just makes it claustrophobic. Great production values btw. I'm going to hold off on playing it until V2 is out. Pretty sure you are putting your blood sweat and tears into it.
Runs fine on Win 8 64 bit for me.
B. The contrast between the colors are a bit more defined and looks right..although A has the subtlety which makes it look like cloth....damn it. LOL
What do you guys mean on a tilt? That tilt is just a rotation in after effects and not in-game. I could be wrong though, but I doubt it.
Anyways, I think i'll stay away from another scary game until I start feeling less sick. lol Looks pretty awesome. Thought it would of been a FP Adventure version of the film. :P
How do you know he's not holding with both hands? Proper hand positioning is primary hand on handle and secondary with palm flush and firmly on the floor of the handle, which you can't see in the pic.
First thing I thought of was System Shock. Well why not, that game was no doubt a first person dungeon rpg. :P This game looks great, so much going on. :D
Why would you think that there would be an answer to the Black Mesa final release in a mod for Black Mesa?
That doesn't make any sense.
Thanks for this mod. It was an absolute pleasure to play. It was great to see the use of various archetypal characteristics used in many great mediums. A mix of various horror techniques and a bit of 'oh hell no' moments similar to the game Amnesia. You really nailed the atmosphere on the head. Had a bit of a feeling of 'the Thing'. I can't really say I had a problem with the mod. Very reminiscent of the hardcore game designs popularly seen in the 90's. I appreciate that and the lack of hand holding. I look forward to seeing what you guys offer in the next project!
