I think it's just a matter of taste. Some people prefer to discover new things every play through, and treat death penalty like a chance for a new experience, others see a set back in it.
Anyway, another save system will be implemented once we start putting the quests into the game. Wish I could tell you the date but at first we have to finish the dialogue, NPC and quest systems. Unfortunately, It all takes quite a lot of time(((

it was our initial plan, but we came across an issue in unity's path finding system, and decided to go with pre-created maps.
But we didn't abandoned the idea of a procedural world.

but from the gamepley perspective, when the character is tiered, hungry, thirsty or suffers from injuries he/she becomes weaker and more vulnerable. In other words it becomes harder to stay alive
You can hide in wardrobes, dumpsters and telephone boxes, to escape from the creatures. They can see and hear you.
When you run you make more noise, but you also get warm. Maps are hand crafted, but furniture, loot, and creatures are random
single player only, at least for now.

The waterproof matches became sort of a currency in Duga. You'll need them to trade with NPCs and to craft some items like campfires.

Привет, помешала его неиграбельность, в том виде что мы планировали,а делать ради того, чтобы тупо было мы не хотим. Либо хорошо, либо никак. Индивидуальны особенности будут, просто можно будет их улучшить или подтянуть те стороны в которых персонаж слабоват, плюс рандомные перки останутся, как и планировалось.

We want to make a grim and depressing atmosphere. Like it has the film Stalker, directed by Andrei Tarkovsky. At first, we thought that it might be unusual and unique in more cartoonish style, but when we started putting together the very first assets, we quickly realised that the game didn't get the look we wanted.That's why we decided to move towards more realistic style, though the textures are still mostly hand painted

yes indeed) Nemostor is the largest hostile group in the city, which hunts down lone survivors. Also there will be some loners who might want to kill you or get you into a trap

I would argue on that, femoral artery goes on the upper side of the leg so in this position and with that length of the spikes it's unlikely to be damaged, more over you don't know what this chair was built for. I mean it can be a tool for execution rather then torture. Anyway with such damages a man wouldn't live for long.
P.S. I don't think that developers really have practised torturing in order to find out how realistic it is))

Anyway ,Taylor says that he'll finish this game in his basement even if the kickstarter ends up not as he wants to.

well slightly different concept, the extrateristil parasite is a protozoan organism which alters carrier's body in order to survive, it doesn't copy human bodies or hides inside either, though the initial idea comes from The Thing

well, so far it's the only camera view available, because it's a part of the game concept, an old school top down camera view.
However, if more people liked to play with the third person camera view from behind, we will consider that option.

Yeah, you're right it is a character from an old soviet cartoon (1984). He is a small hobgoblin (domovoy in Russian) Kuzya (Kuzma). The cartoon is based mainly around his adventures and pranks in a modern world, after his house was destroyed by contractors))
