Something tells me even if it could take out a planet, they'd fire within the atmosphere anyways.
To put it charitably, the Empire has a poor safety record...
You could still make it a one-shot cap killer but decrease its speed/maneuverability and its regular amount of weaponry (on account of siphoning all the extra power for the laser).
That way it is basically a cheaper alternative to a SSD (but still expensive cuz superlaser) but it requires protection to keep it alive. That's a good niche for it right?
Should I ask how powerful that thing is?
It just seems to me that a laser with the power to destroy a planet would tear apart the little Star Destroyer it is housed in... So is it toned down in some way?
Ships suddenly seem... Much larger.
Also I don't think that MC (Home One?) in the bottom left has enough hangars :P
Finished reading description... nevermind lol
Glad to know it actually is a massive open room.
Couldn't see the dorsal hangar at first, it kind of blended in with the rest of the ship.
Somewhat irrelevant question...
When you created this new design and omitted to dorsal hangar did you imagine the side hangars as one large room running the width of the ship or two separate ones?
Just wondering because looking at Fractalsponge's I always imagined it was one massive room. When looking at this one the design seems to be two hangars separated by some pretty heavy armor although they are still on the same deck so I have no idea.
I love how a ship's internals are never adequately described so we all have to make stuff up. That's half the fun though isn't it?
No matter what it is an amazing model.
Okay then, I'll just have to settle for all the other awesome maps you guys put together :)
Hey there, is the giant 534 planet galaxy FFA map too much for the game? I've tried loading it a couple times but I think the game hit its memory limit before it finished loading. Anything I could be doing wrong?
Tech idea for the imps, gives a production boost but sacrifices population. (basically slavery)
The problem with limitations is, if I remember right, the ai ignores most limitations and spams the most ships it can. So even if it is more expensive, the price/build time change only really applies to you.
You just have to believe?
Tracking, can't wait :)
Problem, I first want to make it clear this is not with the mod itself. Ever since I updated Sins all cap ships no matter who I play as cost nothing but the command points. I forgot this caused me to stop playing sins since it is kind of game breaking. Does anyone have a fix?
It's not even 5 AM here and there are already 2K downloads. That speaks a lot for the quality.
Projectiles look great for their size, quite realistic. (Why do I keep using that word in regards to Star Wars?)
You did it!
That's right, I forgot it was a chemical reaction with the atmosphere. Also explains why I failed that test last week *face palm* The main question though, was will this affect gameplay in a unique and fun way?
Aurora? In space? Forgive me if I'm being too scientific but does that mean there is an electromagnetic field there? And if so will it affect ships in any way? Either way its still my new wallpaper.
Custom map it is then because that is totally becoming my desktop wallpaper.
Assuming the C&D is a result of that mordor game they are making is it possible that some point AFTER its release work on this may continue, since the mod would no longer "hurt" the new game's sales.
Nevermind I tested it, random events work fine but the special places (ice fields, antimatter fountains, black holes etc.) don't seem to load in, shame because I really wanted a screenshot of a ISD fighting something with that black hole in the background.
I know the mod uses different planets, but will the new phenomena dlc content work with/in the mod?
Is that a coruscant like ecumenopolis planet I spy?
I know it's a little late, but the ai ignores build limits
shouldn't it be pitch black in the center?
come on, I know I've heard this before. Wait, I got to go through one of my games sound files...
what exactly is that track anyway?
I had this problem, make sure both the swfoc in the game's folder and the application on the disc are running on compatibility for windows xp sp2. It supposedly works on later version but that's what I used to run the game on so I know it works
So on the subject of Kessel Run, how will you guys represent the gravity anomalies that make the Maw (and black holes in general) a hazard, radiation? Or is there actually a danger of getting sucked/pulled into one?
Shouldn't the Black Sun be replaced with the Hutts since they are only a gang on Coruscant at this time period and the Hutts are a criminal superpower? They would also make a great fourth playable faction if you are able to do that. Wasn't the Gozanti cruiser Galactic Civil War era?
dumb question: Can hyperspace lanes be disrupted?
dumb question the 2nd: What if you crash into another ship at lightspeed?
I don't remember mines in Star Wars, there probably were but I can't recall them. Makes for great gameplay in terms of tactical situations though.
That looks way more scary, which is a good thing since it now screams either run away! or you are safe!
On a side note I'm gonna miss my dreadnaught, had so many adventures in the demo with it.
I honestly like the new cruisers better, they aren't ugly anymore. Plus Sizer probably put more hours in this cruiser then I have on anything in my life. Thanks for all your dedication FW:TOW Team!
Geonosis, Ryloth, Saleucami, Naboo and Felucia aren't on there either and those were major. Just a suggestion you already have alot of places so I won't miss those, just thought they were major important during the Clone Wars
What about Kashyyyk?
Would it be possible to have pieces of the large ships float around in space for a limited amount of time, it would make for some cool (if haunting) scenery.
