I am full of idea's and have so far got 3 projects on the go. It helps to be unemployed in that i have all the time i need to work, but kinda sucks that i dont have any funds. I'm a gamer and since i first layed my eyes on wolfenstein 3D i knew what i wanted in life. To make my own game. so here i am over 15 years later with 2 short termish projects and one longterm release project. Skills----- texturing(moderate)

clever use of the tools and a bit of luck at figuring out why the ai can't see you underwater. I do't understand it but for the ai to see you they need a water volume under the room also if you simulate a floodded room by raising the water level the ai bleed to death by their ankles lol.

that is the default texture in the unreal engine i was learning the tools. i dont like them. unity is better, I only made the carpet texture. ;(
And yes though it's an easy fix, texturing doesn't look good on the engines own building blocks in most cases

It surprises me how easy the 3ds tools are to use especialy now i have a massive screen so i can run like this. 3ds top left, photoshop top right, game engine of choice bottom left, photo reference bottom right.
And then have screen 2 to browse the web lol its awesome. I can see my entire pipeline in one screen so for say textures I just hit ctrl+s in photoshop and instantly see the results in 3ds and in the engine. plus if I'm makin stuff for say iphone ect I can conect an iphone and see the results happen on the phone in realtime no matter how early the development is. I've put every penny I have to build this system and its still not finished. I have been living on 10c noodles coffee and cigs lol

It plain and simple sucked balls. The story was bland the levels were bland and repetitive "some exception to the levels being repetitive when it came to following the storyline" (though less than interesting)
I wouldn't call it a review as such but more verbal diareah at the fact that they expect people to pay for **** and we still fall for it.
I can't wait to play project reality i don't care about waiting if the game is good.
Of course I mean the original i still can't beat the bastard ai on hard let alone hardest (I got stuck on one level) it took me a day to clear it on normal, F.E.A.R files i've yet to finish but F.E.A.R 2 lasted about 4 or five hours on hardest. ITS LIKE PLAYING HALFLIFE 2 AFTER HALFLIFE 1. the ai in half life were so agressive.

this is just the core map 99.99% still needs to be properly mapped with vegitation there is a cave network in the works that spans the entire map there will be at least one underwater lab and a conecting underground facility that fills a large network of space under the terrain. once i can get a few chopper and plane moddels there will be a third lavel to the play area...
the sky.
So 4 levels of play area in one map.
And dont underestimate the size of the map from the picture, there would have been 3 more minutes of freefall from where that picture was taken, so plenty of room to place a few small towns and even a large one or two on that island my only worry would be draw distance eating memory on the machine when its populated with objects and particle physics.
We'll see when we get to it i suppose :)

Thanks I spent ages trying to get them to arrive at a randomish time so as not to make them look too scripted when in truth they were over scripted lol they arive much more naturally now over the space of 15-30seconds to 90-120 seconds but that may be ajusted further before i'm done.
I'm a stickler for detail.

Nice i played The Harbour I didn't realise that it was you.
I was searching games for inspiration and came across The Harbour.
I opened up your level in the editor to have a look at how you made it and was amazed by your flowgraphs I wish i could do that sort of thing i'm strugglin on a random chance script of my own.

Anyway keep it up i'm looking foreward to this one if The Harbour is anything to go by.
