If there are a lot of units around on the map it will get laggy. Has nothing to do with your pc.
Install Half-Life 2: Episode two
When it's done.
You didn't emailed me....
Just ignore Discrate.
Yes, I already got a basic strategic ai for the cpu players up so skirmish will certainly be possible.
The only game you need is Half-Life 2: Episode two.
Install HL2: Episode 2
The mod doesn't has custom shaders.
It's already working for non-orange box players. Only one of the maps (hlw_training) won't run, because it's full of episode two contents.
The other two new maps don't actually use much ep2 content.
You need Episode two installed!
I would like to point you at our FAQ:
Basicly, you can play it with any source game that includes Source sdk, but you will miss a lot of textures and models (in fact, it will make one map crash I think ).
So let's say official you only need Half-Life 2: Episode two for this mod, but a different source game will likely also do.
No, you need episode two now. Episode one is not required anymore. To start the mod, you only need source sdk base - orange box installed (included with any Half-Life 2 game). You will get missing content if you don't have Episode two installed in some maps, but it won't prevent you from playing.
Startup steam and look into your gamelist.
Maybe you don't have permission to install files?
You don't have episode one installed likely
You can change the value "m_yaw_rotation" in the console to higher value. It should rotate faster then.
In the next version it will also be possible to rotate by holding "alt" down and moving the mouse around.
Dead bodies will fade out in the next version.
The next version will only require Half-Life 2: Episode two. You won't need Half-Life 2 or Episode one.
You only need Episode two and Source sdk base - orange box installed to run the mod. The mod will use a lot of content from Episode two, which is the reason why Episode two is required.
Combine and rebels will be playable. The strider is controllable too. Vehicles might follow somewhere in the future, they will require more work.
Might be true.
Did you fullfilled all requirements? Source sdk base, half-life 2 and episode one installed?
Startup steam, go to your game tab and find Half-Life 2: Wars :)
To enable the developers console, go to options->keyboard settings->advanced->enable developers console
About the "no content server available message" I'm not sure, might be related to episode one.
When the game crashes when a map is almost finished with loading, then it is likely related to the fog of war. I likely done something wrong somehow, because some gpu's don't like it.
To fix this problem, do the following:
1. Open up the developers console
2. sv_cheats 1
3. sv_fogofwar 0
4. load a mission
What's this for riduculous nonsense about the hud? It is just a default rts hud.
Check if all requirements are installed, which is Half-Life 2, Episode one and source sdk base.
On a side note, we will do a new media update soon with info about what you can expect from the next release.
I will make sure there is a zip or rar file of the mod with the next release. Also, you need HL2, HL2EP1 and steam installed to play this mod, so I don't really see the problem.
