I've been told that I resemble flakes of dried cactus. I enjoy simmering in sacks of protein-enriched jelly and find bricks to be very troubling.

I'm not sure if I've explored every possible outcome available, but this has to be the singularly most interesting and original experience I've ever had playing a game. Knowing a bit about what the source engine is capable of, I was at times somewhat dissapointed with the mapping as some of the environments tend to take a back seat to what would have undoubtedly been a shitload of complicated scripting, but this is completely forgivable considering how, not only well thought out, but well written the narration and strangely open-ended story (stories?) were.
Seeing things like this re-affirms my hopes that not all gaming experiences out there will follow the trend of devolving into cashcow franchises & watered down sequels/reboots.

The type of game I'd always wanted to make in a nutshell. Interesting, quirky and often humorous. Worth checking out if you've already finished Deus Ex a million times.

It's still early days I guess, but as with the first version of this mod it struggles somewhat to find a sweet spot for things like movement speeds and friction regarding the acrobatics etc. but in terms of level design and overall polish it's very well put together and the new 'grindhouse' aesthetic is doing huge favours thematically, so big thumbs up there.

Weapon power needed a little balancing and the melee attacks were a bit hard to use due to the camera shake effect (which often made attacks miss) but all in all this is extremely well done. The more realistic camera movements coupled with the ability to see your feet (something I've always loved in fps titles) makes the movement set for the game feel fresh, and it comes with an entire campaign to boot, plus the amount of polish was insane.
It presents a bit of a barrier for entry but it's definitely worth looking at if you haven't had a reason to play Half Life 2 in a while.
