When you shoot the 1911 and then press the reload button and then quickly switch to your next gun it shows the reload animation for that gun as well. Just a little bug to point out.

Good work. Im finally starting to like these new gun models, many of your guns in the past just didnt seem to have very much detail for their high tri count.
Yea I still dont know how to get rid of that demo thing....I guess thats what I get for not using a rendering software, even though xsi has one already built in....
m16 would be for long range distances. The Commando would be for more close quarters combat. So up close and personal, the commando would be your best friend, being able to spray and and hit things fast and quite powerfully. The m16 would probably be for more open maps, so if you have a hunter or smoker off in the distance, you can use the m16 to take that sucker down in a 3 round burst because it has a higher accuracy over longer distances. Thats as far as my understanding goes anyways lol. Oh and I dont exactly know if we are infact going to have burst fire or not, thats just something we could add in to make the player strategize a little more instead of having one jesus gun.
ehh, if we do, I sure as hell didnt know. Sorry, if we do then we dont have to use this. Most of these are just models that Ive had laying around and decided to let ghost fang and rib see if they would have a place in this game. I guess they liked them!
All my guns are under 500 polys. For those of you who dont know me or dont remember me, I was apart of the mod goldeneye reloaded which eventually was cancelled due to lack of teamwork, and overall drive to finish the game. Since then, I guess you could say Ive lurked in the shadows so to speak, and decided to help out left 4 quake! Oh and for those of you who dont know me, which most seem to not, I welcome open constructive critism, anything to make me a better modeler, right? So fire away!

Yea, I notice on my renders it is pretty thin compared to a real mp5, Ill fix that here once Ive finished up on the m16 and the others. Any thing else any one could spot to make it better, go on ahead and post! Thanks for the const. critism, always appreciated.
That skin is just a place holder by the way, ill actually take the time to really uv and texture it once I've completed the other guns.

yea the psp version doesnt work, not enough ram to run the light maps or something
the maps wont run on psp :[ every time i go to new game it says that the psp is out of ram for lightmap textures....
Yea dont even really worry about your models untill the game is actually playable. A game with amazing graphics is nothing without gameplay. Trust me, I was apart of a team where all we did was make gun models and nothing else was done. That game was never finished and was abandoned.
Some things I notice, First: I dont know if you fixed this but in the other pic of the famas you put before this one the faces were inside out, you will want to look into inverting them. Second: the clip for the fanas if im not mistaken is a bit wider than that though it may be just the angle. Last: the model still looks a little blocky, but you are definantly progressing in your modeling, things are looking alot better since your first few models. Good luck.

No the lines are edges, a polygon is made of 3 vertices joined together by 3 edges. You would know this if you have ever used a 3d modeling program before. The reason the 3d models should be low in polygons is because that 3d mesh that is the model is comprised of polygons. Therefore if there are less polygons in the model there are less to render in game which makes the game run smoother.
great job, i like the way this whole game is coming together and the fact that this is pretty much the only mod that is actually original and not a clone....

Mojo what u fail to realize is that there are, in fact, some inaccuracies in this model, and that not all problems can simply be fixed with a texture. And as you can clearly see, i wasnt trying to attack the model as bad, but trying to help dylan see some things to improve it a little.
I know its an early model and all, but I see some inaccuracies in the model. So to add some constructive critism, I hope this will help a little. The butt stock of the gun should be thinner, same with the body of the gun. The carrying handle also needs fixing, so that way you can actually use it to aim with the iron sights. And I have no clue what is on the sides of the body of the gun, it looks like abunch of squares or something. Thats what I would fix, but still its a good model at such a low polly count.

Yeh, Im the modeler of the gun, I go by 3 different names, so its kinda confusing. I go by rushshot, as my moddb name, ThaJoKer is what I use to sign my models, and dredlockman is my steam account. I just want to clear that up so people dont start asking why ThaJoKer signed the model but blackout says its made by dredlockman.
I like the textures, though hopefully you will change up the different buildings here and there right?
Wow. Wow. It is safe to say I would rather play this game than left 4 dead. I mean, the mapping is damn near godlike, it is so much like I am Legend, and for this to only be the alpha, Im expecting great things from this, and Im sure yall can deliver.. Bravo!
personally I think you should make the end thingy a little bit longer, cuz it looks like an eraser to me. Other wise, good model!
