I wonder if it would be that easy. :P
I found one of the HWT I did for Praetorians. :P
Lucky find. :P
I have ideas about changing the rotation of bones to better sync the bodies.
I also think setting the translation of the bone would also be wise and better sync them.
A copy and paste from one max window into another. :P
Lots of copy and paste and I wonder if that would get rid of some of the sync issues?
In theory if this worked I would just position sync the components via copy and paste. :P
And then copy and paste sync all the translations and rotations of the bones. :P
Id that works it would mean anyone with max could whip out the guard models into the new sync format.
then the bone names could be easily done in FFE.
Meaning several could attempt it easily.
time for sleep. :P

Praetorian team, if anyone with ffe skills wants to try it out. :P
That would technically fix a fux load of guard.
I would wonder if one of the cadian HWT would do the same for cadians.
I also wonder if any HWT setup faction for guard would translate across easily? Since most of the body sync is done in Max with xref work. :P
Yes I am babbling, but I think it could be a lot easier then we initially think. :P
If any one knows of any other hwy for any of the guard factions please do babble. :P
I wonder about the Elysians Ombre was working on?
Definitely bed time.
Go to sleep RT2, tomorrow there is time for more :P
Also in case you miss my other comment:
"Besides some issues with hands slightly out of synch that made me choose the renegade body instead of the guardsmen body on my conversion there was no significant problem. If i am not mistaken the conversion used missile and mortar hwt on the cadians side. Still if that problem was dealt with people could pump out basic guardsmen and hwt out for most specific IG regiments in little time. "
I think I have read this before. ---->
