they aren't built into the ground, because (as far as i know) there is not a way to do that in Generals or ZH. But they are made to look that way. they will work the same as when you garrison infantry in a regular civilian building (when the building dies the infantry die).
Well, the thing is, is that im not (at the moment) planning on releasing a bunch of maps with this, and a few buildings (like the Barracks) will actually be upgrades for the trenches. And making trenches buildable means most maps can be used with my mod.
I will still probably have some maps with trenches already integrated later on tho

hey, i dont know if you know about it, but there's a WW1 reenactment in Missouri (i think) every year. its goes on for like 3 days strait.
there's also Firstworldwar.com , a site for WW1 era music and speeches.

ya, it sorta led to WW2. but during/after WW1 it was nicknamed the "War to End All Wars"

Well, im using one of the default infantry as a measure. so no, i dont currently have plans to rescale them.
as far as skinning, what is in this pic is my current ability to do so, lol(using MSpaint, which is all i have atm.). im trying to look more places than C&C fourms tho, like random computer artist places.
If i cant get a skinner by the last Alpha release, ill have a try at reskinning the stuff myself, but no guarantees.
lol, the skins are only there to keep it from being pink :D
this should be about the right scale. as far as i saw from pics, the wheel on the gun is supposed to be about chest high
i think the armor showing should stay. you should have to choose between armor or invisibility

..what does this do?
I found out somthing about ship design. if you build a long stick off of your ship, then build at the end of it, then delete the stick, your new chuck of a ship will continue to go along as if it was attached to the ship. this way you could fly a fleet of ships at once, lol.
on another note, is there currently a way to save game?
