I didn't expect it so soon, downloading noaw!
ps. Greetings from the CWC community
You guys, the CWC team, the ShockWave team and the RotR team are single-handedly keeping a game (that should have died years ago) alive.
Great media as always, looking forward to your next release :)
DO WANT NOAW
Holy crap, this sounds awesome, wish you guys good luck and hope you can make it through ;D
There's little the team can do about this, it's just the way SAGE (ZH's and Generals' engine handles things). So you're practically out of luck, either upgrade or wait until you can.
Crashes on startup for me, what gives? :(
Note: The splash screen displays correctly for me which means the mod is installed correctly, but just after the game is about to launch (the screen turns black) it crashes.
Well then what are you waiting for? Go buy it (should be available for a petty price by now) and join in the fun!
I promise it will be worth it ;)
Well goddamn, I wasn't really into the mod until I just heard the main menu soundtrack, it's AMAZING, definitely sets in the mood! I shallst be waiting for it.
Looks great, can't wait to play it! Brings some memories of MediEvil :D
The mod sounds incredibly awesome, one thing you guys need to do is better publicity, I haven't heard of it until I decided to take a look at the new downloads section.
deferred lighting? Care to elaborate on that one, you've got my attention :P
"Oh no, I don't like this game so I have to whine about it whenever I can!"
I didn't like the game much either, but I didn't feel compelled to tell the internets about it a thousand times. And you never really did provide a proper argument of why you hated the game so much, you're just spamming the comments section of the game. Seriously, relieve us with your silence.
I don't think you understand the problem here, FileFront originally being run by a commercial company, the company pulled the plug on the site since they couldn't fund it any longer, but the people behind it still want to continue offering what they once did, separate from their mother-company, this is why they're trying to back it up on a DIFFERENT host, not a publicity stunt.
I don't know if you guys at ModDB read the news, but there were posts from n0e going around the internet, here's the post (may not be true):
MESSAGE FROM JEFF "n0e" MILLS
Hey all. I know many of you have eagerly been awaiting any sort of news as to what is going on and what we plan to do for the future.
To those that don't know I, along with a tremendous amount of help from folks like Phenix, and Ronnie are making backups of all of the network sites and we plan on moving to a new network of fan sites that will be open soon. For legal reasons we may not be able to include the items such as reviews, potd's and other various bits of information on the sites. However, with the permission of the modders we will retain all of the files. Those who do not wish to continue having their files hosted on the new network need only contact me after the first of the sites are online. I'll see to it that they are promptly removed per your request. We will not hassle you about it or tell you to '***** off'. Just remember that we're restoring a database so please don't get upset after seeing them initially. We respect your copyrights.
There will be forums up and running sometime hopefully next week. When they are up I will provide a link here so you know where to go from then on. I certainly hope to see many familiar faces and even new ones. There will be a clean slate for those coming back as well. If you were banned for whatever reason, you are allowed to return and given a second chance.
The new network and forums will have one more thing that I'm sure will make everyone happy. There will be NO corporate involvement. Things will be run by people who actually play games for people who play games.
I'll have more news for everyone as it's available. I wish to thank everyone for their continued patience and I'm certainly cannot wait to have the good parts of FileFront return while just trimming out the bad.
Jeff 'n0e' Mills
Holy shite, this is so awesome, I couldn't believe how much this doesn't look like the original game, well done!
it's a concept art made by Michael Kutsche, you can find it in his site:
Just wanted to point you guys to this, we appreciate the semi-mention :P
Depends on how many players are there and if any of them are AI players, but I really doubt the AI works for all players in this map, and since it's not really as big nor detailed as the other maps, I suppose it will perform well :)
FECK YEAH! Looking forward to it :D
LIES! The Cold War Crisis team are interesting people!
/shameful attempt at publicity
ps. Jailbreak is really awesome, you guys rock!
I think you bastards deserve a Moddb focus event!
Schweet, looking forward to it :)
Great job to everyone involved, we as players have thoroughly enjoyed the awards and I'm pretty sure the developers also appreciate what you've done for them :)
Project Reality really deserves it, I couldn't even start reading their feature list when I wanted :P
I went Awww when I found out M&B won since it already won an award in the editor's choice awards, but congrats nevertheless. I personally would've loved to see Infinity take the award though.
Oh and hey no more controversy, or is there? :O
I'd pick Neotokyo or even Black Mesa, but I guess since the players voted for it then whatever, probably because the L4D release hype is still going :/
Nevermind, I got it wrong, they were talking about the map not the actual mod.
I'm a little confused here, it says that this mod was originally No More Room in Hell, however the NMRiH site is still updating under its old name, did a portion of the team separate and go to develop the mod under the L4D engine or the entire team did that?
Excellent news, keep at it :)
Celestial Impact already won an award, so I didn't think it'll win again here anyway :P
And yeah congrats M&B, you deserve it :)
