I've always loved the style of Yuri's faction in Red Alert 2, glad you guys are going with the same theme for the new Children of the Sun faction, tracking :)
Best of luck, this looks rather promising :>
Sounds like you guys have been busy, nice work :)
Turns out it's not just the rain, it's everything, and not just Rainy Days, it also seems to happen in Crysis :(
So false alarm, I'll go dig and see what's causing this, but your mod seems to be clean (and the voice acting is pretty spectacular from what I heard so far).
Ok scratch that figured it out, now I'm running it, except it's giving me lots of particles in the rain, I can't see anything :S
How can I check which version of Crysis I have? I'm almost sure I have 1.2, but I'm not getting the choice to load mods, and the game crashes on startup with this error:
[Error] <Scaleform> Error: GFxLoader failed to open 'Libs/UI/FrontEnd/Mod.swf' [Libs/UI/Menus_StartMenu.gfx]
We'll have to to see how units scale against the barrier to decide, otherwise they won't be able to fire form behind it.
Great concept, but the plates don't look like much cover with that space under them, might want to fill it with something and have them thicker to look more believable.
Might want to remove your e-mail. Someone (or something) might register your e-mail to some spam mailing list (or homoerotica).
And yes the mod looks good, shame I don't have W7 or Vista, at least not right now.
I like your gameplay ideas, they sound refreshing :)
Haha yeah that's Praz playing, he's public enemy #1 in our tests :D
But yeah, jetpacks are tons of fun.
You guys, the CWC team, the ShockWave team and the RotR team are single-handedly keeping a game (that should have died years ago) alive.
Great media as always, looking forward to your next release :)
First of all I'd recommend that you set the game speed at 30, that's the speed that Zero Hour is intended to be played in, and if it's still lagging for you then try playing the game in Network mode, I don't know why but for some reason it performs much better even for me there regardless of how well it did in skrimish.
Otherwise you could just try playing against other players, the AI is CPU-intensive and since the map is pretty large they're more likely to cause lag. I can't advice you with anything other than an upgrade :)
michael_fabella: Well I apologize for the lack of detail, this was my first map, started as an experiment but ended up releasing it afterall, as for the water there isn't much detail one can add to it except maybe islands and such, but I already stopped working on this map :P
I heard it's still not practically possible to make custom sounds for the PS3 version of mods, but who knows.
Anyhow, this got my attention, tracking/voted.
Is there any possible way to make this work with Crysis Wars? :(
It resembles the Su-27 and above serie, but looks awesome nonetheless :)
I had no idea so many people would participate in this, you guys basically earned yourself at least one spot in the Top 5's with this media stunt :P
Kill them all
Lock them up in jail
And execute them whole
... I don't know
Not trying to sound pessimistic, but don't you think the project implies a huge amounts of work? How big is your team right now?
Uh, have you even tried it or you're just jumping to conclusions? In my opinion, MTA is by far better than SAMP, its capabilities far surpass those of SAMP, and it's polished. So yes it IS well made.
Are you guys planning on converting Thief 1's or Thief 2's campaign? Because that **** would be so cash, this is rather awesome as it is now but it needs something to connect it, i.e. a campaign :)
Personally I just RAAAAGE
Either something very wrong is happening or people forgot about the mod, but there aren't many populated server around now :/
What Henley said.
Yeah I agree with whatever this guy said.
There's a deadzone between 56k and 512k, I'm in that deadzone ._.
Yay peashooter can now actually do damage! ^____^
In all seriousness, this is an awesome update, kudos for the new maps and changes :)
You've certainly come a long way, and the mod is rather getting better and better with each version, so keep it up and good luck with future releases :)
I prefer RTS and RPG games as they are more in-depth and take longer time to play than FPS games, but I'll occasionally find myself playing FPS' more than either :P
IW got infected with this virus now spreading in corporations, now it shuffles around moaning "MONNNEEYYYYZZZZ" and stuff.
Seconded, unless these are from different factions or something like that, they should be similar looking but not too similar at the same time.
This is obviously Cake Propaganda edited and manipulated by the pie-hating Moddb guys, I call conspiracy!
ps. Pie kthx
This is just amazing, you are very skilled as a mapper :)
UT3 runs flawlessly for me even with a lot going on-screen (for example Redeemer spam... >_>). I'm not sure if AA is working in the game or not, I can't really tell, but the performance generally degrades when I look at the left side of the map, specifically the worst point is when I'm at overlooking the small dirt road that is blocked by that officer guy.
This is some amazingly awesome stuff :O
Though I currently have two things bugging me, the first is the animations, they are superb, but their transition is a bit too fast and feels clunky, this only goes for the player animations mind you. The second is performance, even with my HD4870x2 (4xAA+16xAF forced in CCC) I'm getting poor performance, not sure what's the problem.
But overall this has a lot of potential, I was really stunned by how perfect the graphics looked, good memories of PSX/SNES RPG games of the same style, keep it up and good luck :)
Pretty much said what I wanted to said, with the exception of the following points:
- While the level design is pretty awesome (and diverse at that too), the gameplay is pretty lacking in my humble opinion. At any difficulty you play if I am correct, the enemies _never_ miss, it's incredibly annoying to be fired upon from miles away without even spotting the enemy, secondly the 'push' effect of being fired on is terribly irritating.
- Weapon handling is a little bit clunky, I'm not entirely sure if it's just my keybinds or the lack of keybinds for weapons, but changing weapons were a pain. Iron sights were good to have, but they still felt a little unnatural. Lastly the body being displayed might be good, but increasing the FOV just to allow it to isn't a good idea in my opinion, and while the concept sounds great, in effect it generated a lot of clipping issues and looked rather unnatural, I would have personally preferred it if you made it a normal FPS camera with the ability to look at your watch by pressing a button or the likes.
- I can't complain about voice acting since this is a part which you almost never find in mods these days, but it needs more 'feeling' if that makes sense, the comments felt a bit comical at times which I'm not sure if it was your original intention or not, but still it needs a bit more feeling and you've got something right there.
Overall I think you should take a look at other mods, I do believe you could improve this mod a lot by simple changes, so good luck with it.
The CryEngine is definitely a good choice for this type of art direction in my opinion, so I don't really think the switch was that uncalled for.
This sounds exceedingly awesome, I must give it a try when it's out :O
Wouldn't that generate some copyrights issues?
They look great though.
It actually sounds great, I'm a huge Silent Hill fan and I can definitely relate to the story. It definitely sets in the mood, but you have to remember to make it familiar but not entirely similar if you know what I mean.
At any rate, looking forward to the mod :D
Seconded on that, if you keep switching engines you will never get anything done.
There's AI for all factions.
However my first impression of the mod is... negative, my biggest gripe so far is bombs not doing any damage to tanks, seriously, why?
So if this gets destroyed, it's game over for everyone and everything? :P
Looks great, can't wait to play it! Brings some memories of MediEvil :D
Schweet, looking forward to it :)
Yeah, lal, you can hear it when you order officers :]
ps. If you're wondering how I got this information, that's because I'm a beta tester
