He smashed through, his sword trying to find the neck of Hadvar but only meeting the shield of Alexander.
The commander met his fate as the Spatha of Hadvar pierced his body and emerged from his ribs.

When the bear stood defeated the two soldiers heard the trumpets of victory and the call to rally, Jarl Balgruuf spoke but the men heard no words as their ears were ringing from the clash of steel.

They would return home to their loved ones, however it was always just a matter of time until another battlefield where death lurks and waits for more souls to take.

If only the battle in-game were that epic.

I slowed time and killed everything before they got close to the battlements...

xD

For my entire campaign I did not use shouts and did it the good old fashioned way. Block, slash, block, slash.

It was epic.

Oh and whenever I faced three or more enemies I raised my shield and sprinted. Knocking them over, its hilarious.

me? i used the call to arms spell (scroll to be precise) in the middle of a large group of allies and watched them slaughter the enemy while sniping with my bow

Description

Large smouldering rocks flew overhead and collided in an large explosion with the ancient walls of Whiterun and sent the souls of three Legionnaire's to Sovngarde.
The Stormcloaks had broken through the main gate and decimated the archers on the gatehouse, Legate Rikke and Hadvar were nowhere to be seen and the Empire's men were in retreat to the second level.

And Alexander stood by as a warband of Rebels approached, axes and warhammers in blooded hands they shouted their war cries while Alexander just stood there on that small wooden bridge over a little river. All that stood between Imperial or Stormcloak victory was a tired lad on a shaky bridge.

Memories of Aurren, his Elven wife whose long golden lashes would hide her ears faded and made way for the Imperial discipline.

Thoughts of his adopted Nord daughter Sophia evaporated and were replaced by instinct to survive.

A female Stormcloak with axe and shield ran towards the young trooper, yelling "For Skyrim!" as she heft the weapon over her head to break the one man shield wall of Alexander.
The axe never landed for instead it was a Stormcloak helmet that rolled away from its owners body that was on the ground.

Grizzled and frenzied by their fallen comrade's fate, a pair of rebels gave to their fury and approached with warhammers in hand.
Close behind them, a commander in the fur armor anticipated the battle.

Shield high, Alexander ran to meet his foe. The heavy steel wearing him down but nevertheless it was the Stormcloaks who fell on their knees.

The Spatha struck like lightning and another soul would join Shor in the Hall of Valor. The other Stormcloak swung his hammer and it crashed with a fury into the should of Alexander, he fell and now a giant stood over his body.

But the death blow never came, an arrow from a friend, Hadvar, struck the giant and he faded away.
The Stormcloak commander took out his own steel sword and shield and charged the two men holding the bridge.
