Screen recorder?

I've been looking for a screen recorder that records gaming on full screen but I really can't find anything. Does anybody know a program that actually works? If it's free, it's even better!
Can't believe that people have to go through so much trouble just to record a game? We actually did find one, but you couldn't save the file and had to post it to youtube first. Sad, I really thought it would work.
If you've got any tip on a free video editor, that'd be cool aswell!

A program to record game play? Hmm.... I it depends, if you're trying to record on a system, or just on your computer. Well, you should try asking my friend, Miss Flare. She records videos, but I don't know if you want the same program she's using. So, just ask her ok? :) Sorry, If I couldn't help! Good Luck! Also, nice to meet you!
