You missed her point then. It's not about wearing clothes on itself, but modesty, which clothes contribute to. Modesty is a sign of the civilized, yet one that is rapidly losing meaning in the western world (just like kindness)
Muslim (not just Arab) women wear hijab, because it is what God has decreed for them to wear. The hijab not only draws away some of the unecessary attention from stares of men without concern about modesty, but it also makes the woman free of responsibility of the sinning of the staring men.
