At the moment we are working on the Multiplayer side of the mod and we are undecided as to whether we will be recreating the campaign.

Thanks for the feedback so far. The wheels are quite low poly but we felt that 8 sides would be enough. As mentioned you'll be viewing these models from quite a distance pretty much all the time.
The engine can handle more polies but A. the less we use on wheels the more we can use elsewhere and B. the less we use altogether, the better the performance

We appreciate all comments and feedback, as after all we are making this for everyone. The msuic in the video is a remade version of Act on Instinct which I personally like as far as remixes go. We do intend to use a lot more of the original music in game and our wonderful coders have worked their magic to ensure that we keep the original themes in there as well as some of the newer versions.
Having played the latest build quite a lot now I can assure you that it really does have that Command and Conquer 95/Tiberian Dawn feel to it. This became most obvious when I had a 1v1 with another member of the team and remembered that an army of Light Tanks can beat an army of mammoths if you focus your fire on one tank at a time.
Don't take my word for it though as being part of the development team, I am naturally biased. What I can tell you is that we are working very hard to get this finished and ready to share with you all and I look forward to your continued feedback.

I appreciate your honesty and feedback. I've made a few changes including adding some dirt and reducing the specularity of the windows.
:) I am glad you like it. We were thinking about sticking with the original ingame design which was similar to the Renegade design. However we felt it looks better this way.
I suppose it is a bit dull but witha good texture on it I think it'll look okay.
It's actually very low poly. The fence itself uses an alpha map making it look more detailed :)

As coolrock says the renders were just to show off the work so far. In the case of the Allied base it's actually a render I did many moons ago before I fully started work on Apocalypse Rising.

There aren't any plans for teh mod at the moment. What makes you say that though?

Problem is Renegade is an old engine now and whilst yes it is still good, it wouldn't be worth it now as hardly anyone plays it :/

It is something I've been thinking about. I think it would be cool as a mod for Renegade 2007.
