Check out the latest video!
Something is probably blocking the Scm500k.asi file in your San Andreas folder. Maybe your anti-virus?
I'm not sure yet about him but he will most probably be dealt with in the final mission.
It was a stupid idea to announce a release date, I'm on my own and try to get as much time as I can get to work on the mod.
What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't expect it to release with christmas, sorry chaps, I'm an *******!
Have you even played the mod yet? When you start a new game you'll get a menu where you can select the mode you'd like to play.
Make sure your in-game language is set to English.
Map problem after the Lawbringers mission? Explanation please.
There's another survivor mission in San Fierro.
Sorry, but I have no idea how to make that. If I knew, I would already have added it to the first version of the mod.
That would require a new model, I don't have the skills for that and Smallcombe is working on another project right now.
I was thinking about using the TG-500 in the epilogue missions. I'm currently almost finished with the Exploration mode, after that I'll start with the epilogue and let version 4.0 being tested.
Make sure your game is set to English language in-game.
I'm not gonna stop development on version 4.0, I'm gonna stop development after I've released version 4.0.
I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna keep the realistic mode in the mod, it's an unfinished mode and the exploration mode is much better.
The loot is random.
Never thought about that, probably not as stamina is already at max I thought. I'm not sure about maximum health.
No, you are limited to the area you're in. And yes, there will be zombie and bandit attacks on your camp from time to time. Unless you clear the bandit camp, that will stop the bandit attacks.
One small gameplay video doesn't capture the entire game mode. I'm still busy adding things.
To answer your questions:
- Yes,a survivor can be friendly and will follow you. When you bring him back to the camp, he'll become a guard. It's a 50/50 chance he'll be friendly or scared/aggressive.
- Yes, there will be more items to buy. They are not added yet though.
- There will be a random hunter or smoker hunting you through the woods. A group of zombies are one of the random encounters.
- Yes, the random pickups (the little red spheres) can contain all sorts of weapons.
- Armor still has to be added to the mode.
- A lot amount of work has been put into this one location, I probably won't add more locations for the mode.
I hope your questions are answered now.
You can turn it off by pressing the 0 key.
I'll add one extra lawbringer mission to V4.0, I was planning to stop development on Left 4 Theft after the final release so that also includes mission packs.
Will (hopefully) be fixed in version 4.0 if my script works correctly.
No, that's not possible. Left 4 Theft replaced the regular story and missions with new ones.
Sure, that will most likely cause no problems.
Because the San Andreas engine has a limitation of 25 spawned actors (NPCs) at a time. One more will make the game crash. The spawning system spawns 20 zombies in the area around the player. I spawned 20 zombies just to be safe and avoid any random crashes. There is a limit adjuster for San Andreas but I can't get it to work and only leads to a crash during the loading of the game.
Try disabling your anti-virus program, or add the file to the program's 'ignore-list' or something similiar.
Is there any connection between this and OpenMW? Same developers?
1. San Andreas' engine has it's limitations
2. Too much work
3. This is currently a one-man project
Seriously people, give me a freakin' break. I can't make the mod live up to all your expectations.
Just to clear some things up, I'm still working on the mod. I'm not spending a lot of time on it because I'm, just like the majority of you, enjoying my summer break.
Also, I'm not planning on adding L4D2 zombies. I don't have the models and animations and I'm not able to give them their abilities from L4D in L4T. Second thing, at the moment I'm finishing the stuff on my to-do list for version 4. The only things remaining are scripting the epilogue missions for the main factions and finishing the Exploration Mode. I also want to add some extra missions involving the robot-human model which I showed you guys a couple of months ago. When all of that is finished I'll let a group of people test the new version so I can fix all bugs that pop up. So expect an 'official' update soon.
