1000 times more Awesome than any other post!
While the theme of the mod is not my cup of tea, the quality of the custom content looks great. Keep up the good work!
My biggest concerns, aside from the way they were splitting the pay are as follows; First off you have mods that build themselves with plugins and components of other mods, if the content of one of those dependencies becomes pay-for it almost outright kills the other, secondly in the case of the previously mentioned scenario, how do you figure out who is getting paid for what?, lastly what is to stop someone from rushing out and stealing a mod as their own and selling it?, With Mods there isnt much legal protection for mod creators of original work. Lastly, what will be the incentive for creators of mods based around popular IPs like Star Trek and Star Wars as they will more likely than not be unable to get the IP holders blessing in creating a paid mod?
There is more to consider than just angry gamers that feel mods should always be free, serious questions that need to be asked before a major undertaking such as this, not to mention easier ability for people to protect their creations from people flat out stealing them such as what we saw with a few of the mods that ended up on the workshop.
Really like the mod thus far, everything I love about EVE seems to be present, and each of the "fits" given to the ships feel right. Honestly cant wait to see how the other 3 factions play compared to the Amarr (was never really a fan of their play style :P)
Darn and here i had got my hopes up thinking that he was FINALLY going to do a Battletech mod given his affinity for their designs in TM. A man can dream though i guess. Anyways good to see you back Burnie
Anyone else having issues with opposing Klingon AI on normal building no ships, colonizing maybe one planet and building obscene amounts of mines?
Almost looks like a mashup of the Yamato and the Montana Class.
Yeah we have nuked all mods and re-started from scratch and are still having the same issue. Desync from beat 1 and then it will be fine for a few minutes before it starts spamming desync windows.
When we disable MM 1.02 and run with just 1.17 it runs perfectly fine. Starting to wonder if the file may have been botched on ModDBs end.
Hey Burnie, a friend of mine and myself are having issues with Desync related to MM 1.02. We tried fresh installs of everything and still had the desync issue, finally after that failed we ran with just TM 1.17 and had no issues at all. Just wanted to give you a heads up on this issue.
Well the point i was trying to make is that most vanilla UEF aircraft fit with normal physics for aircraft that we use to this day. Even the vanilla T1 Fighter looked somewhat aerodynmically sound.
My only issue with this, and the Havoc is that the wing design doesnt seem aerodynamically sound. These are units that need to be fast, but with the layout of the wings it just looks like they wouldnt be stable in flight especially during the hard bank and turns of combat.
I know the aircraft in SupCom have weird flight characteristics, and that would put this into the realm of aesthetic taste. But I wouldnt be surprised if im not the only one who feels this way.
Other than that issue the overall designs are nice, but I think the wing configurations need a bit of work.
disregard, just saw the standard A6 model.
I might have to look into it, thanks!
sweet more Low-Tech toys. Lately my friends and I have been having an absolute blast with T2 limited battles, so seeing more lower tech units is always a plus. :D
my big question is, do we lose the Anti-Air capability that the original had?
Any chance to see an A-6E Intruder for a more dedicated attack role, or is that outside of the timeline that the mod will represent?
Freighters, would be cool seeing the Charon plying its trade on the routes of the Caldari State :D
Well regardless I wish you luck in your endeavor
I will say that the Fox and Zechetinu class vessels as well as the Pocket Warships seem a bit out of place especially considering that most of the vessels listed seem to be Age of War/Star League era.
Great progress so far, and i look forward to future releases.
Alt-Click the link if you are running Fire Fox, worked for me.
The only reason I was asking was particularly to play with some of my friends on LAN or in this case Hamachi, and not through normal online play.
I must say this, if part of it is to take place in Michigan you have to include the Michigan Dogman :P
Has any group checked into the feasibility of re-enabling Multi-player support for the source code release?
Its looking like Battletech Legacy is dead, Spiked Helmet hasn't posted on it in a good long while, and it seems that activity on the sub forum is almost non-existent.
Any Chance of seeing continued work from this or the spring port?
