I'm playing the mod and experience random crashes too. First two crashes seemed to happen when combine soldiers were spawned (after the very first one). Second crash happened in chapter two when I launched an SMG grenade at a pair of combine soldiers standing next to each other.
Restarting mod helps, but random crashes still happen, seemingly corellating to combine soldier models, or whatever else these npc's have.
UPDATE:
This happens, actually, any time when a new NPC model is loaded. I've experienced crashes when fast and poison zombies appeared first. Which is very strange, because their models were unmodified.
It seems Source decided to act up fore some obscure reason.

Thank you, I did just this and it worked. It was a habit from Xash to put compilers in separate folder with all the utility programs. Steam gets things complicated, unfortunately.

Mapbase compilers are asking for filesystem_steam.dll
Is it normal? I've placed them in mapbased_shared/shared_misc/bin folder.
What should I do to fix that?

Finally. I'm glad you decided to finish it completely before any releases. Doing a demo version is a tricky thing, it can slow down development of the full game. And tbh demos are necessary only in commercial or indie game development.

So, the new version of this mod is going to be tremendously long. This is exciting. I hope the plot and setting of the game will be appropriately expanded in the new version. It was hard to understand what was going on plotwise in the Beta. Many "ghostly monologues" was just too difficult to hear, apart from the brutal voice that yells "STAND BACK" at your character. In the old trailer of the new version I saw that there will be subtitles, and a new voiceacting, that was quite good.
Well I`ve got offtopic again. To be short: Still waiting for the new edition. And my vote is always yours.

Trigger vphysics motion detected. Looking cool, but player movement in such environment must be easy enough, or it will be very easy to stuck, or movement itself may be boring.

So yeah, at last. I`ve beaten this mod, and I`ve gotta say it`s huge, even by Leon`s standarts. No one makes mods this large novadays except of him and maybe Eyaura.
Honestly, I don`t know what exactly to say about mod itself. It is good, definitely, but not by standarts of mods like Black Mesa, or Research and Development, or Mission Improbable... Someone will say its bad. I say - this mod requires specific taste. It is good in its own way, but you`ve gotta forget about how some other mappers trying to mimic Valve`s style. Leon got his own style. His maps are usually big with bizarre architecture and texturing, well detailed, and full of effects and quite complex scripting. You`ve gotta encounter ALOT of enemies, see alot of strange and even funny things. Cutscenes maybe hilarious, especially. The gameplay is simple but rather pleasing. Run`n`gun, press some button, see some cool effects or maybe cutscene, then go further. There are some moments when you have to kill some enemies using environment (ceil turrets and laserbeams), there are moments when you have to find some components to certain machine, but they are rare. The mod is simple, and when you stuck, you can find a helping powerup, it will show you the way of proper walkthrough.
There is some odd things in this mod, although. I dunno why replace regular zombies with zombified metrocops without headcrab on. Strange bug with sniperrifle, when it appears to be upside down when in zoom. Some missing textures. A handrail without material, and a lava stream texture, or what I believe to be it.
So this mod isn`t complete masterpiece. It won`t shock you with astonishing graphics. You wont get a boner looking at complex brushwork and texture alignment. It`s not about total conversions or map-pictures pushing old Source graphic render to the limits. (But I believe many maps in this mod actually reaching Source limits, especially entdata and edicts) This mod is about good old days in Half-Life 2 modding, when mapping ruled mods. When coders were rare, and modellers were the rarest. When mods used content spared from other mods, ripped from games or found elsewhere. When even simple custom animation was sign of something incredibly cool. And you know what? Thats amazing!
This is good mod for me. It`s returning me into those teenage days when I played SP mappack, and then Costline to Atmosphere, and then Strider Mountain. So I will rate it 9/10. Its not the best, but it is really, really good. I`ve beaten it completely, and I was pleased.

Nice to see your mod alive and kicking. New video made my everlasting hunger for cyberpunk even more stronger. I love this mod. I loved the first release, and v2 is going to be the game of the century for me.

Keep this features. In Source its impossible to line up viewmodel animations with animations of thirdperson player model. If you need this you must rework all vewmodel rendering principle, otherwise this problem won't solve. But none will notice slight differnces between animations of tps-model and weapon viewmodel,so its not that important.
So I think you should keep up this features besides their slight issues with animations.

This shot is good. I apperciate your intention not to spoil some really epic shots from second part of your mod. Still, this shot and interview got us plenty of information about mod. At last now i know that it`s using 2013 SDK, and will have some really advanched graphic features, that 2006 can`t provide. Moreover it will run smoother, because model rendering in 2013 was optimized overall.
Thanks for update. I`m awating completion of your mod. I`m confident that it will be one of the legendary masterpieces on moddb. Good luck.

Okay, i have fixed mod for myself. I had to unpack resources into mod`s folder. It`s not the best solution for this problem, but it seems all other solutions wont work properly. So mod is working now, and i`ve played first two maps.
What i have noticed.
1.Great oldschool feeling.
I really like Ravenholm, and this mod is great on representing atmosphere of this desolated town. It looks really good.
2.Its ******* hard!
Yes, i`ve got to say that you must move everytime. Enemies won`t wait until you kill them, they really trying to kill YOU. This is good. This is challenge. You`ve gotta move quickly or die. You`ve gotta use relationships between enemies.
3.Mapping. There is some problems with it. I`m not gonna say it`s bad, but it`s missing some small details. Doors missing doorjambs and other things like this. But still I say that mapping is pretty good.

This is steam update making another mess with the mods. Actually ep2 was moved to 2013 ssdk base, and all gcf files now didn`t seem to be functional. I tried to mess with gameinfo.txt, but it wont work because engine constantly beginning ask for proper client.dll, so i can`t fix it myself. ****, i want to play this mod, i ******* love hard mods, but these ****** steam updates screwed everything up -_-.

I`ve installed the mod and encountered a problem. First chapter crashes when i load it, shortly after flickering camera overlay. Windows message says "hl.exe stopped running" and no engine or runtime errors appearing.

Могу помочь с проп-моделлингом.Всякие статические предметы и тому подобное.Однако сразу предупреждаю анимировать не умею совсем (в максе еще новичок, однако достаточно хорошо освоил инструменты,чтобы моделить то что душе угодно).Еще одна проблема - мало свободного времени в связи с надвигающейся сессией. А так - милости прошу в пм или в скайп, обсудим необходимые вещи.Ах да, с маппингом и текстурами тоже могу помочь, если требуется.
