True, but didn't the Estate allow The Hunt for Gollum and Born of Hope?
I remember the Estate and New Line fought for a while because New Line didn't pay anyone after the trilogy. Not the Estate, not even Jackson.

I remember asking the team that same question a long time ago, well before the C&D, and I think they said that the player would be able to buy a house in each major town. I can't remember.
In any case, it probably wouldn't take much resources to do that; the C&D demands more attention.

I think the feud between CT and his son was more personal than anything else. We shouldn't judge.

Thank you guys for taking this mammoth project on. I hope everything goes well and WB drops this C&D. I'll be doing all I can to help spread the word about Merp and what WB has tried to do.

I don't want to spam this guy myself because it'd likely simply result in my being blocked, but let's all try and get AlChestBreach to do a video about Merp through private messages on youtube.

If the C&D ends up costing them more in loss of sales from the boycott than the potential loss of sales they fear Merp will cause, why wouldn't they drop the C&D? Also what's stopping the petition from reaching high number like 40,000 or 50,000?

If they did drop the C&D, they'd probably issue a statement like" Oh we love the creativity OUR fan base as shown, Aren't we the best company Ever to allow this?"

We won't know that until this is all over. Have faith and keep trying to save Merp. Boycott and spread the word. These things have a way of working themselves out.
Err on the side of positivity. What's the worst that could come of it? I can tell you one good thing that can come of it: We save Merp.
