Maybe, I think it's more likely to please the current fanbase though.
Of which I am happily a part of, so... :)
Is Alchestbreach going to make a video about Merp? It's been almost two months now since he originally contacted me.
Basically the article points out some of the irony associated with all the money and lawsuits being thrown around copyright law concerning the Hobbit (when the book's main theme is about that very same subject), while at the same time doing a brief overview of all the major legal disputes the Tolkien Estate's been in over the long years - including the latest one against Zaentz.
It's a pretty funny read with a little bit of sarcasm and a few digs at the Hobbit AUJ.
Interesting article about the lawsuits going on now.
When MMoxReview initially said he'd make a video about Merp in November, He mentioned it along with Skywind. This week he featured Skywind.
Maybe he'll mention Merp soon, hopefully?
Anyways, here's this week's episode where mentioned Skywind. Youtube.com

The direct licensee of the Tolkien Estate. Warner Brothers is a sub-licensee from Zaentz and a co defendant I believe.
Correction: Zaentz is counter suing the Tolkien Estate.
Warner Brothers is countersuing the estate. Merp's fate is now locked between these two giants.
Alright I'm going to try again to get MMOxReview's attention. Please thumbs up this comment on his new episode to help it get noticed and maybe supported. Youtube.com
Ok I left a comment asking mmoxreview for help. Please thumbs up my comment to help it get noticed and possibly supported by his fanbase. Youtube.com
I've tried a few times, but no avail.
I think we're going to need a lot of people to get his attention.

I think we should try to get mmoxreview's attention again. What do you guys think?
That's awesome :)
Would you mind if I asked how you became aware of the petition? Whether it was through a friend or an article, etc?
A wizard should know better!
I was thinking about what's happened so far with Merp, about the parallels its development has had with the Ringbearer's story, about how many times Frodo's quest almost ended in tragedy but always avoided that end, even if only just so; I believe Merp is similar in that respect and one day we'll all look back on this happily in retrospect - Happy that WB didn't accomplish their goal of silencing this quietly. It's been made a huge court case now.
I left a comment about Merp on the Hobbit trailer #2. Please thumbs up my comment to help it get noticed.
Technically WB didn't put out those films. New Line Cinema did.
They want a trial by jury?
I'm pretty sure the app, Kingdoms of Middle Earth would be effected as well as the slot machines.
The Tolkien Estae is also pretty angry about some patents WB has for lotr based hotels and amusement parks. Well they're probably angry about that too.
I agree. People seem to forget the role he's played in the publications of Tolkien's other works.
He had the Hobbit practically written for him and lotr sent to him while serving in WWII. If any person should have veto power over Lotr, it's him.
Well, the Tolkien Estate has a pretty good case against Warner Brothers and Chris isn't likely to back down.
While I don't entirely agree with Christopher Tolkien's stance on the lotr movies, I can sympathize with his perspective. The man played a large role in the publication of Tolkien's other works. In a sense, he "gave" us the First Age. It seems that Christopher Tolkien is mostly annoyed by the commercialization of his father's world by Hollywood.
However I believe that the Estate has allowed fan works in the past. It's only when a fan work threatens to eclipse the original work and become a source material in itself that they have a problem.
The reason he hasn't gotten back to you is probably because the Merp team already has a lawyer who knows more about the situation than any of us and has explored every angle.
That, and they have a non-disclosure agreement.
There are a lot of layers to this situation.
