The Ship-Builder version of the game is free, though the actual game ( with crews and stuffs ) can be bought one-time. You know, to support further development :D

Hey thanks! I am glad you made it :) It's all right, the ship builder is still a bit hard to use, and making a large ship requires more time. Plus, I plan to remake the same exact trailer a year from now. haha, just as a milestone thing :D

On April 2014, I will be releasing a Pre-Alpha Demo with the Kickstarter Campaign.
The actual Alpha public release though will be on Q2 2015.
Ship Docking and Boarding is a huge possibility to add during the Alpha phase :) I would love to add these features if the community wants it too. During the Alpha stage, all features to be added are decided by the community.

Yes, you can view the ship per level. Just like in Gnomoria/Dwarf Fortress.

I am currently crashing at my parents house, and as a young guy with no kids and responsibilities, I thought this is the perfect time to quit job and take risk!

Haha yes! That's why I actually left my job lol, to work on the game full-time. The thought of losing my savings over time really gives me the motivation to work fast and harder. ( I am really hoping I am not going to regret this decision after a few more months! haha )
But still, there are still 'those days' right after you worked for few weeks straight that you will feel really tired. I just had to accept that taking a break is a huge part of the development and I don't have to feel guilty about it :D

they are a marker that tells there is a block going to be build there. Its temporary at the moment, it will be probably the actual shape in the future.

The crew is somewhat similar to FTL, but I am aiming for more depth, there won't be direct conrol over the crew, but you will assign them jobs and give them equipments which will influence their actions.
I've completely finished the saving/loading in the game. So yes, im spamming teh ships :p

There will be other interaction with ships, they're crewed by AIs. This is a single player game, so all interaction is AI. but! AI will be very deep and rich. I'll try my best so you wouldn't get the AI-ish feeling when interacting :)
As for in-game locations, it is Player/Community built. If you choose to play connected to a Universe Server, as you travel, the game will check if there are structures, landmarks, spacestation in your position that was made by another player and will load it. Though there will be no direct interaction with other player planned yet.
I'll be getting the textures in games with the help of CGTexture,since the look of your ship is really your choice, the colors. Only the given texture are there. but Texture modding will be allowed of course :)
Yup. Just the guidelines. In the final release there will be a few default ships to choose to start from, you can then expand from that.
Or just choose 'Carve mode' which is basically a big block chunk which you can carve to ship.

Yes, it's something like that.
The Tesla will only be stopped if it hits something. It will continually electrify anything around it as long its not colliding.
Imagine a tesla passing through inside a cylindrical tube, when it travels, it will electrify everything around it as it passes through.
So you wouldn't want it to hit something, you want it to pass by something. :)
I have this in mind, I made this mistake in UE:TSS. There will be tutorials, and easier GUI.
If you have played Minecraft, and familiar with red stone, its basically the same thing, it just its wireless in here :) ( There will be indicators which connects to who.
