I am Raygoza and keep contact with mod developers of mods I like, I like to help my offering suggestion and ideas. When it comes to modding I am not good at it, I am only able to change a few things in StarCraft and Homeworld 2.
Although this is early WIP it still looks awesome, I love your work guys.
I'm really sorry you have to go TheBest, but we can wait a lot longer for the Protoss if we need to, have you really decided to not make them?
If it's the lack of units to make a new race I know you guys are qualified to make it work by merging the races.
My idea is you start as common ground Terran, having research that decides which faction you will pick, once you choose the other buttons should be locked and according to the faction things will have that faction requirement (research) done.
This way the Terran factions can share buildings like Command Center, Barracks, Factory, Starport etc.
Would be good if you were able to pick version for yourself.
I was thinking, what if you could aim with almost any weapon and when you would your accuracy would be better and the weapon would be hold right in front of you, they actually do that in Underhell, just so you get the idea you could also watch some video when they use weapons.
I am not suggesting you to take or borrow anything, just suggesting that it would be useful to be able to aim with nearly every weapon and do it this way, maybe some other button could be reserved for goggles to see far away like you do with the z or the c button currently if I remember properly.
If not already implemented while you do that the wheel on the mouse could be used to zoom in and out.
Maybe some air unit could cloak and along with that deflect some part of all missile attacks that it receives, perhaps if it manages to deflect an actual missile, the missile could keep flying past it until it reaches maximum range.
If you include it in the game, what role do you think it would have?
Would it's main weapon be a special attack that you can use?
And if so maybe it could keep firing against that target, this way you can attack two things at the same time, the small weapons can target the small fast ships while the big gun shoots against some capitalship if you'd like.
I guess that big units in SC multiplayer should never be cloaked unless being in a cloaking field of some other unit.
Please post a picture where you compare the tal'darim and the corrupted Protoss guardians from Zhakul.
Though the Tal'darim look cool as well.
After taking a look I can see that the UI is specifically made for the complex mod and all it's things like energy, fleet and so on.
It would certainly need to be adapted for regular Homeworld I guess.
And work of this quality seems to rarely be lended out to other mods, unless the credits are very clear.
When I first looked at it I thought, what game is this from, then I see the Homeworld stuff and the background and I though how the hell did you guys do this?
This is so cool.
I don't want to sound bad but aren't there to many races already in Stargate. I mean that I hope you wont exclude a race by making the crossover.
The races of Stargate which are and a few which may be playable are:
Tauri, Gua'uld, Wraith, Ancients, Asgard and Ori.
If I'm right there's only space for one more race, is it enough?
By the way, the Vanaar jet seems to not really exist in the HW universe, right?
My suggestion is that this mod wont be quite closed, you could make yearly Christmas updates of your mod, taking inspiration and ideas to implement ingame.
When you combine good ideas on the best way possible you get extraordinary results.
This way you wont have to be occupied with modding but if you stumble upon good suggestion and ideas to implement, you could do it right away and in the end of each year the mod would be updated with much more cool stuff.
Guess I've been holding on to this too much, all I want is an other release with a lot of fixes or changes made for the community.
Let our opinions play a role in the next release and that may even tur ´n out better.
(Hope I am not offending you, I'm just not quite ready to say goodbye to everything you have offered here)
Please do not make the Comsat and Planetary Fortress like addons like all the other mods except Seiji's which actually changes the building.
It will probably be hard to recreate unless the weapon mounts are outside the ship itself

Hell_Diguner They are compatible because the H*A*C*S is a Bigfile and the PTV 0,04 are just a bunch of folders with information on how the mod is going to work, in the end of the shortcut I just pu this:

You'll get about the same view, co-op and just like in the game Alien Swarm the aliens pop up all the time, it could be zergs in this case, though buildings should be added to. What do you guys think about this?
Since both Half Life 2 and Alien Swarm are made in the source engine.

I am asking because in the Stargate Space Conflict mod only weapons like the Dreadnought's Phase canon and Sajuuk's Phase Canon can damage the ships with a sheld which is turned on.

I am trying to not being annoying, anyway comparing compatibilities of this mod and Eternal Silence, is that Eternal Silence is compatible with several source games, if this mod would be compatible with Portal, Portal 2, Half life 2 and it's episodes you would automatically get more people playing because more people could enjoy the mod without all needing to have CS source.
By the way if the Karos Graveyard level is going to work properly on the HW2 engine I really think that the Towing ships to a certain point is a very important thing. The difference between that and the salvage Corvette actually is going to salvage while the dog only takes the ship away and puts it like debris in the Graveyard.
By the way it would be nice if it was possible to salvage Graveyard ships, called Derelict ships because some people like the look and would actually like to use them.
As i mentioned earlier but I don't know if you understood me, I meant that the PTV mod only has the towing ability which basically is the same as the Ramming frigate without the impact part.
You know that the resource collectors will only be able to gather resources but as you know resource collectors in HW2 can tow things like resource containers, I think that that job could be handled by the salvage Corvette when you either tell it to pick it up or press the Harvest Hot key, that's my idea on how to get this going at the moment.
If you have taken a look on the FX-mod's Taiidan you'll see that it is pretty much like the original, I wonder if we could have that picture of the Taiidan as a base, not taking theirs and modify just having their way of the Taiidan as a base for this mod's Taiidan, Since the Kushan is a very similar race it could be like a copy of the Taiidan just like in the original HW1.
If I may ask what is really the difference?
Isn't it easier to make thesemaps comptible with several games and that way get more people to play it?

IN the PTV mod the Mover can Tow away ships, add the emp effect and make it Tow when there are enough movers to nearest Carrier or mothership to dock with to then get the controls transfered. If it's a ship that is to large it wil dock with the mothership or shipyard just like the crew transports docked with the mothership in the beginning of the HW2 campaign.
I just have to ask, are the Tomb Raider maps compatible with other source games to?

Not many modding groups spend a lot of time to make advanced features with great graphics in HW2, but I know you also make other high quality projects and good luck with all of them.
I really love your quality work and that you do listen to the community's ideas.
In the case of smartcasting spells if implemented I suggest the closest unit able to cast a target requiring spell to do it, otherwise the one with the least energy or most energy depending on the mod.
Also it would be good if you could access certain groups of unit's powers by tabbing when you have units with different abilities selected.
If smartcasting is introduced as well then it would be very useful for base management.
And micro would be easier as it doesn't matter how many spell casters you have selected because only one will cast a spell.
Is this mod being developed?
This could be useful for other mods and you could get credits in other mods for this feature.
That way your model can be known better and get Greenlit easier if these are parts of your goals with this mod.

It looks good but I think it looks too stiff, gun recoil should be compensated with the whole body and the turret, the guns in the back that is.

Very good, but sure that Kushan need to research hyperspace for balance between the races?
I think their ships maybe should be more expensive and or have longer production time because they already come with hyperspace capabilities and have no use of production modules.

I don't know how things are but about guns why not build them as modules for some of the large ships.
Smaller ships could either get a weapon upgrade that changes or adds a new weapon or you could have more than one version of some ships, each one having a different armament, these ships would show up in the build menu.
You can even do a mix of these options.

It would be good if you could auto detonate it when burrowed when a unit steps on it.
Now talking about the dark gateway effect when it activates, I like how the effect looks in the version 0.04 of PTV, please make sure to check it out.
Anyway for the effect color I wondervif you plan on hsving the color chsnged as well becaude the color of the effect has nothilng to do with the prgenitor colors.
Also remember that the pylon itslf should be spinning and not just it's inner part.

That's awesome, a key element in the Taiidan Fleet, one of their most versatile and common ships, the Assault Frigate.

I liked the main menu music you had in the main menu in version 0.75 of the mod if I remember properly.
That's true, make the Mothership buildable and arrive trough hyperspace from a carrier, as it's more unlikely that each one of these races woul get a scaffhold in the first place and a scaffhold working as a shipyard when it's actually only made to build a Mothership.
The scaffhold could perhapps still exist and be buildable.
But only being able to produce small crafts maybe even frigates, in any case it's main role would be building a new Mothership.
Maybe the first time you buld the scaffhold it would only take some time for it to arrive and be free, the other times actually cost something.
Scaffhold arrviving from hyperspace and can be called from Carriers only as it's suppose to work as a Mothership rebuilder and nothing else.

It's not an autogun in which you just see the flash and the result of the impact of the bullets.

Finally something is happening.
You know there is some way to make it possible for races to build from other race's production ships.
It's some option you make with each production ship, I could get back with this if you want.
But myself I'm not a modder, this info I got from Dark Sajuuk, feel free to ask him personally, I don't mind.
By the way, it would be good if the big construction bay is a gigantic production module which you build to the regular Turanic outpost, maybe the engine systems could be built because the original outpost did not even have engines.

It's so awesome, now the only thing missing before they work is a fitting attack which behaves like in SC2, however a attack animation like in SC2 is not urgent, th important thing now is that it works and look pretty good for now, other details can be worked on later.

I think that this mod's Hiigaran are very true to how they should really be, I'd like to see other mods using your Hiigaran race because it would feel truer. (though since this seems to be the only mod with a fast playing style they may need to alter all basic stats)
About recreating the Drone frigate of Kushan, I find those to be like a lot of guns in sphere formation around the Drone frigate and that the drones is it's armament, though because of this I don't know why you'd need to launch them in the first place.
I suppose those drones work like the guns for the Drone frigate and therefor could be commanded to attack other targets by giving the attack order to the Drone frigate.
This is soo awesome, you should really make your own recreation of SC2, this is just soo cool.
By the way, you should remake the Broodlings to look like those flying next to the Brood Lord, by the way it looks like they are Hero units when you take a look in the wireframe.
This Brood lord actually has broodlings next to it, tell me that it's an attack and not an active ability but a passive ability.

The BW one is just old and doesn't seem give you a good picture of the Marine, I think it's to thin and not bulky enough.
I think it should be a flying building which is build capable even while flying, it's like a flying starport which is build capable while flying too, maybe it should be a bit more powerful when it's on land
It might be that they used the version of it that costs and that you use the free version of it.
I actually think it's possible, but will require many millions of people to actually believe in a single thing probably a leader which in turn have some powers trough the belief.

Good idea about the module thing, maybe you could do a research ship for each kind of research, the research ship unlocks basic research, then you need to build different modules like one for weapon research, one for advanced droves(advanced engineering module)(the first research ship acts like a engineering module).
Like the Kuun Lan mosules actually, but this would require to much work, I would prefer that there's only one kind of research ship, no modules only research speedup like it works in HW, in HW2 it seems like you cannot make several researches at the same time but you can probably speed up the research like you can speed up construction.

please do not make all the turrets target-able because then you would just put it out of function entirely without actually destroying the ship.
However the engines should also be target-able.
The Teeth on the new one might be to white, remember they are animals and do not wash their teeth, some more dirt or gray colored hey could be.
After reading your description about how long time you have been working on it, I believe it's good. there's a lot of work to make a campaign of 12 hours when I mean all from mapping to textures and events like a Helicopter flying past you.
This mod has actually already gone very far from the original mod the complex mod.

All you have to do is resize the Gif that you will use to 50x50 because if this page does it you loose the animation.
The attack Carrier has like everone knows a slow construction bay, however it is a very good fleet supporter unlike other carriers.
The Best would be if you play a certain race, maybe Beast or Somtaw, you hear their voices each time you do something and not the HW2 Command response voice.
Now i know, it might not work to put it in the option list but maybe if you put it in the game type list.
Anyway there should be possible to pick between different eras to play and with a certain era you can choose between certain races. It should be possible to choose to get all races available, but that would only work with the HWU race selection system.

The collector gathers resources and the salvage corvette tows stuff, like when you are going collect resource containers, just an example, it could also be used to tow ships away from the battle, just like the Ramming frigate of HWC and the Mover from the PTV mod.
You cannot get Qweens without a Qween nest, without that you cannot get Hive and without that you cannot get highest tier units.
By the way why does the academy look like a planetary fortress add on?

Look if the bandit would be called bandit, that would be that the Ion array would be called Dagger Class Ion array Frigate till the cloak upgrade and then getting the name changed to Assassin class Ion Array, I mean to reflect HW1 as much as possible the name on the Bandit should be Fighter, the description could mention it's role and name.
About the Ion array frigate it's name should be Ion array frigate in game, in the description mentioning it's role and what it's good for after the upgrades. This frigate has more firepower and turning speed than it's counterparts but has weaker armor.
Looks similar, by the way, do you think it is possible to import the Dino Crisis textures and effects?
Otherwise it might be to similar to HL2.

the old versions are still uploaded i guess unless it's a very old version of it, by the way I have an idea for you, you could add featuers to the original game, like rallypointing SCVs or Probes from the nexus or the Command Center to a Raffinary/Assimilator or minerals, afterwards they could just get there and start working, this is a feature that exists in SC2 and makes the game much smoother

I would like to know why you are using SC 1 units?

About the Bomber, all it actually should need is Fighter drive, fighter chassis and plasma bomb launcher research, the plasma-bomb launcher research should include the anti subsystem ability because the HW1 races only have one research to get access to the bomber.
About the light Corvette, I know that it is a light Anti-strikecraft fighter but it should be able to be used against Corvettes without being useless at it.
The Heavy Corvette is as we know maybe some kind of bomber with turrets meaning that they should be able to kill other corvettes with ease because of the high firepower and itself being able to withstand some punches because of it's armor which is heavier than other Corvettes.
the Multi gun Corvette is has good firepower considering how good it tracks enemy fighters but may lack some firepower against Corvettes because they are heavier than fighters.
About the Ion canon frigate I think they should have the Ion canon researchable because these are the old races and therefor they do need this tech, the research itself could actually be placed in the platform tab because the HW1 races really do not have any platforms.
The Taiidan in HWC has energy weapons as an upgrade after Projectile weapons, I suggest having the energy weapons upgrade for several ship classes because the size of them is changing depending on how large the weapon firing them is. I suggest one for Strike craft, one for frigate class and one for super capitalships in terms of HW1 meaning all Capital ships, this means one firepower upgrade reduces the rate of fire but increasing the damage a lot and the energy bullets tracks the target.
I am not very comfortable with light destroyers and the Heavy Cruiser as a heavy destroyer but it may be the best thing to do in the HW2 engine because the Taiidans actually build bunch of ships to overwhelm the enemy, I suggest having the advanced drive upgrades after getting the first research station.

What are the Team colors by this mod?
I couldn't because I have no rights to link it to the mod. In this release there is just the Progenitor race hought it's splitted in two. Sabbath which uses phase shelds and Amun which seems to be able to cloak their every ship. Anyway there are some things with this old version which I like, those things are:
The old Gateway effect, the Devastator, the old Keeper drone phase shelds,
The Devastator"which is now replaced by the Agilator", the Keeper drone is an alround fighter as in the campain, though in this release the Devastators help keeping strikecraft away while the Shiflers attack other targets.
I didn't know there was a forum, by the way, this release gives Molulu access to old work which hopefully will be usefull in the future of the mod.
If you change settings on the sound it could sound more robotic.
