Ah ok ZitaX, sorry then. And yes I agree about the BMS fanboys. Either way props to both mods for the hard work and effort regardless of everyones opinion. :)

I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that we are "no-lifes", but I am sure you have your reasons...

I am by no means a BM:S fanboy, in fact I don't even own Half Life 2 so I am not particularly interested in Half Life 2 mods. However I enjoy looking at the the artwork posted for mods as I am a 3d/2d artist myself. When I see something like this I can't help but wonder and ask. I don't want to argue any more because obviously, ZitaX, you cannot even keep a straight case and instead have to resort to lame accusations like "no life" and "fanboy". I am making perfectly valid points that are backed up by evidence, I haven't called any names, or criticized anyone. I've just asked a simple question about how you can go from that HL1 screenshot to the Source screenshot, because they have absolutely no similarities.

Case closed, and cheers to both mods. Again that grunt model is niiice. :)

TiB0, give me a break man that tunnel looks almost exactly like the BM:S tunnel. When I saw the thumbnail on the front page I thought it was the long awaited BM:S update.

"Are those developers crying?"
They sure are. When something is almost a direct copy of their work, as this is, they get on their case. There are countless examples, a recent one being Halogen. BM:S is based on something, and if you haven't already figured it out - it's Half Life. And if my memory serves... BS is based on the same exact thing. And no that doesn't give it justification to look like BM:S - or at least that screenshot - the only justification it has allows it to look like Half Life. And unless I'm blind those two screenshots literally 100% different.

I posted twice, once to bring up my point and a second time to explain it because some people didn't understand the first post.

I was just wondering how they got that from the HL1 screenshot. They obviously bear absolutely no resemblance to eachother. The HL1 shot is 90% rocks, and I don't see a single red rock in that shot, something that was characteristic of HL1. And I've already made my point about the resemblance the source shot shares with BM:S. And Ultemate there's no two ways about it, the shot took HEAVY inspiration from BM:S. You obviously can't go from that HL1 shot to the screen posted without influence from something else, in this case BM:S.

Either way, that's a nice grunt model. :)

I'm not going to make any accusations here because I personally don't really care. If the mod is good I'll play it and not worry about it, if it sucks I won't play it and won't worry about it.

I'm just wondering how you go from that HL1 shot in the upper right hand corner to the Source shot, where it bears literally no resemblance, yet has countless similarities to the well known BM:S Inbound screenshots.

Hey just stopping by to say that the render is brilliant. It's a great model and a great texture. Good work to the team and special props to whomever got to work on the PIR! :)

Should be about 4 polys. Ok ok add in the railing, chamfered corners and you'll have some more polys but seriously that is insane overkill. You could have a completely flat side with a normal and have it look exactly the same. That is the perfect setting for a normal map since the sides are basically flat. Obviously block out things like the bars seperating the nine quadrants of each side and small things.. but the windows and nearly everything else could be normal mapped. Just my opinion and advice. :)

Hello everyone. I've been watching this mod for a while and just have a quick question.

Img.photobucket.com

In that picture you can see I have pointed at two locations and put four green dots (look close to see them all) which differ in size. I am wondering as to what scale and size these pictures depict. In real life it would probably be the smallest dot or smaller since mountains are enormous. I am only worried because Oblivion's mountains were severly miniaturized and I would hope that this is not so in AME.

So if someone from the AME dev team could tell me which of those dots (just say 1st largest, 3rd smallest or something along those lines) for each of the two locations would be the size of a character ingame.

Thanks for your time. :)

VERY awesome! That was my only genuine worry about the game. Well keep up the good work AME team and keep us posted! :)

those two pics are insanely dark and pointless...

they aren't even from your mod, the first one is a Anvil style house (from oblivion) and the second one is too dark to even tell wth it is..
