For EAW v3.3, I thoroughly enjoyed the Reapers. I didn't know what they were, I had to probe how they worked and what strategy works best, and I engaged all of them in a huge, victorious battle involving swarms of fighters and capital ships as bait. THANK YOU FOR THE SURPRISE!

It's dead on this end, but the mod creator is adding screenshots of new units to the Steam Workshop. No updates though; same mod version.

Me: 210 Tie Defenders, 2 ISD-1s, the Purifier, 11 Venators, 1 lvl-4 Space Station, and 1 Relay Station

AI: The Subjugator, 7 Lucrehulks Control/Battleships, 9 Recusants, 4 Providences, 6 Venators, 3 ISD-1s, and 6 Sabaoths

With game difficulty set to Hard, this battle lasted for 1 hr and 15 minutes before it crashed. The fps was incredibly low with just 60 Tie Defenders fighting the Subjugator, but the moment that ship was destroyed, the fps went up a tiny bit. Towards the end, I had the AI down to 8 ships and I WAS WINNING.....and then the game crashed.

All my saves during this battle crash when loaded. I'm a bit sad I couldn't finish it out to see the final tally, but I am oh so thankful to have gotten through what I could. I'll probably auto-resolve it, but it was so worth it.

Thank you so much for this mod! I've been playing Remake for years and it means so much to me! You rock!

I thoroughly enjoyed the day's worth of Galactic Conquest I was able to play of Re-Lite before all my saves started to crash. Can't wait to see the finished product!

At long last, I am happy to announce that I've finally finished this mod all the way through (Galactic Conquest, Empire, Equal Footing on Hard), and it's oh so satisfying. This is the first time in almost 2 years that I've ever been able to finish the game with the Remake mod because it's always crashed on me.

If it helps, I saved every chance I could and made sure to label all of my saves chronologically. When returning to the game I would load the most recent save (starting with autosave) and work my way down to whatever saved game doesn't crash. Play the game from the save that doesn't crash, save as much as possible, and repeat. Though aggravating and tedious as this process is, I've been able to keep moving forward. Make sure to have the defreezer handy, and sometimes restarting or giving the game an 8hr break allowed me to load from autosave.

Despite the difficulty, this is an incredible mod that brings new life into the original game. It updates the graphics and gameplay to the point where the cinematics are movie quality. I'm grateful to Jeroen(imo) and everyone who's contributed to this mod for this incredible journey and I look forward to seeing what other wonders come their way. Thank you so much for all your hard work! You Rock!

Recently had an interesting bug. I was playing the Empire on Galactic Conquest on hard, and around day 98 I couldn't click on any of my space forces during battle. All other functions were available, but I couldn't click or select any of my units as if I was clicking on empty space. I've been able to get past game crashes here and there, but I'm stumped because all of my other saves eventually lead to being unable to select/command any of my units in battle.

Saved games on Galactic Conquest (Equal Footing) keep crashing for me, despite 3 clean re-installs via the GoG version both with and without 4k/2k texture edits :(

The previous version always crashed whenever I loaded a saved game. Has that been fixed in this new version?

Stupid question: to ensure my saved games don't crash, I'm putting the entire "AI" folder from the mod into the EAWX\Data\ folder right?

RainyDays1971 - - 26 comments @ Large Patch, GC maps, Death Star, skirmish ect.

Sorry about the late reply. I was able to play 2 days worth of Equal Footing w/o the Consortium. The first time I played, I saved a lot and 1 save (#16 of 20) worked, so I was able to keep playing from there. On Day 2, I kept saving like crazy but I didn't want to lose my place since I was going so far. I kept the game paused when I took breaks, and I put the computer to sleep and returned to it overnight.

Towards the end, I conquered over half the planets (60ish out of 115?) and right in the middle of a space battle the game froze.

Unfortunately, none of the 75 game saves I had made since #16 worked with the same crashes occuring in the other big map with all 3 factions, but I'm thoroughly satisfied and I've had my fill. Though I didn't get to finish, I absolutely loved playing it and now I've definitely gotten the closure I needed.

I apologize for the rant. I absolutely love this game and I have yet to find a substitute for something as wonderful as it and this mod.

Is there a way to manually decrease the number of planets? I still want to play the big map with as many planets as possible against all 3 factions, but decrease enough planets so that my saves don't crash.

Thank you so much! I was getting so ****** off by the Consortium because they always kept coming with their cruisers and I was still trying to get to the next tech level!

I downloaded the GoG version and applied crashfix and it played like a charm on the first playthrough. When I came back to it, the game crashes immediately after I hit "resume game" after loading a saved game. I've already reinstalled the mod and the game itself in multiple combinations without any luck. Does anyone have any recommendations?

No luck. Apparently I have no such file other than the one in the mod.

What's your exact fix for the Victory turbolasers? Just removing the 4 lines of "<Targeting_Fire_Inaccuracy_Fixed_Radius_Override>200</Targeting_Fire_Inaccuracy_Fixed_Radius_Override>?"

Replacing the XML file how? As in replace Steam's/Disk's XML file with the mod's XML file or vice versa?

Jeroenimo, this is by far the best mod for Star Wars EAW/FOC I've ever played. What you've done with the units, the graphics, everything is absolutely beautiful. It's renewed my joy in the entire game itself and I don't think I could ever play the stock version ever again because your mod is just so much better. My absolutely favorite thing about it is going hard on Galactic Conquest and the struggle behind it has made me love the mod even more.

The problem is that no matter what fixes I do, whether through Steam or the original disk version and the 4gb patches from LucasArts and others, my game always keeps freezing or crashing because of a prompt saying: "Exception! An exception has occurred. See _logfile.txt and _except.txt for details. Press CANCEL to exit or RETRY to debug." I've gone through the forums to find an answer to this problem but no solution has worked. I'm willing to spring for the GoG version you recommend but I'm hesitant for fear of further crashing. That, and the planet "Lwerk" on Galactic Conquest never lights up and stays looking like a grid-planet.

Regardless, thank you so much for making this incredible mod! You rock!

I keep getting that error too! I heard it was because of the RAM patch, but it doesn't change or fix anything.

RainyDays1971 - - 26 comments @ Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

I tried putting Battlefront Commander and Star Wars: RE on the disk version of my Forces of Corruption, but the AI aren't moving/attacking me at all unless I'm within proximity. This happens regardless of whatever mod is being used, and the original FoC's AI attacks me viciously like it normally should and does.

Has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it? I appreciate any assistance you guys can offer. Thank you.

I've been playing galactic conquest on hard via the third beta, and none of the other factions are trying to attack me or anything. I restarted on easy and got the same results: the Rebel/Consortium planets all have the same ships and never change/upgrade/increase their forces or even attack.

For context, this is RE: Beta 3 on the FOC disk version.
