Slight misconceptions in the description, The errant venture did not have all of it's weapons removed. Only as many as was required to bring it under the legal limits under galactic law.

Before Booster got the Venture that limit was really just academic, no ships for the civilian sector had anywhere near the limit prior to the Errant Venture......

As someone who's played both Act of War and Generals, I have to object to the remark that AOW is generals with bells and whistles.

The 2 games are quite different both in play style and setting. Using your criteria there are many other games that could be described as General with extras, the similarities you speak of are basically those of classic RTS games....

Really?? Then you've never read the OFFICIAL (As in the GAMES MANUAL) Lore, That by the time that an infection managed to get that far the crew had already overloaded the fusion reactors!! I mean come on, fighter pilots were adding self destruct switches and protocols to they're ships, I doubt a Cap ship would let an infection progress that far without blowing themselves up!!!

Also the Lore for this unit explains the Naar Protocol, The plasma flooding one.

I'll end my rant with this quote from the manual "From that day on, the Naar Directive, as it became known, became the standard response from Allied heavy capital ships to Beast infections. And, while the price in Hiigarian life is always high, instant death in a blast of high-energy plasma is preferable to the twisted immortality of becoming part of the Beast."

(Poor HW:Cataclysm manual, the only thing holding it together is the duct-tape I put on it...)

According to the old HW1 Manual the drives use a Quantum Wavefront to achieve Quantum Tunneling, (allowing speeds in excess of the speed of light, At least from what I gather....) In essence it allows FTL travel, but even so beyond what the Manual says about the Quantum aspects of the drive it doesn't explain further by stating that since the drives are the result of Reverse-Engineering that they don't understand them......

I think it's mainly just the angle when viewed from the rear. I compared it to the illustrations from the "Star Wars Incredible Cross-Sections" book We've had lying around, when viewed from the front it looks like it should. I took four years of art in highschool, so I'm pretty sure it's just the angle playing tricks on the eyes.....

That's the problem of HW1, You could play as either the Kushan(Hiigarans of HW1) or the Taiidan(The vaygr of HW1) in the Single player campaign.......

IE: Either race could be the Exiles, the exiled hiigarans that were forced to leave hiigara....

(Canon is that the Kushan were the exiles....)

No Problem, Every modder does their mods in their spare time. Anyone who doesn't understand that shouldn't be trying to rush modders.

I tinkered with making mods for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Even with the construction set it was a major pain, even trying to bug fix mods I downloaded was maddening at times, and I only had the time after school to do it.

It said fusion in the book and the site, but remember that most nuclear fusion weapons are of the Thermonuclear type, meaning they have a Fission type warhead to kick-start it....

Not sure why it says Fissionable materials.....

why not just use the current harvester, It already looks as if it has a way to board.....

I just suggested that the Resourcer for the kadeshi be used as a boarding vessel, I think I can handle odd Capture units....

That sounds fine by me, But could you consider adding capture functions to the Gardener, or adding a capture unit to the Deshi, cause right now they can't capture any map constructs(bases and the like....)
