Maybe Steam, D2D, or other online game retailers should start some kind of PC Game renting service. Yes people could find ways to download the full game after downloading the files but hey at least money was spent getting it? That way consumers don't have to spend $60 right off the bat and instead spend 5-10 getting to use the full product for say 1 week like normal rent stores do, and then that way the user has at least partaken in the full product and should have decided if he wants to buy it or not.

You know, I keep hearing Jim Rome use "wait for it" a lot before he finishes his phrases, and I noticed it's used here as well.

When exactly or at least around a ballpark idea did this "wait for it" start being used in that context to create a pause before finishing sentences or thoughts?

I agree with your comments omegamaelstrom. There are a few creative mods, but many just feel... bland at best.

You do realize this "new" unit you added was just an Infested Kerrigan unit renamed?

I mean that could be done in the Starcraft World Editor that shipped with Broodwar.

Sometimes it just feels like they are turning into EA. I mean look at the battlefield franchise for them.

TF2 is to them right now as WoW is for Blizzard. I mean what if Blizzard decides to announce WoW 2? Do you think those MILLIONS of players are going to be pleased about that?

Agreed, just like people freaking out about images on a screen. Whether it's hand-drawn/computer-animated or live-action, both are projected onto a screen and are not the real thing. I guess that means I should freak out about watching live-action porn because it's on a screen.

While I'm all for people being upset about L4D2, what is this "promise" you guys speak of? I haven't read all the news about the content "promised" but I remember hearing about "possible" campaigns and "maybe" new weapons or models.

So as far as being upset about "promised" content, do you care to enlighten me with links quoting the company actually "promising" this content.

Like I said, i'm totally for what you guys are talking about, I just want to make sure that they actually "promised" us this content and not just said that it was a "possibility", because I didn't hear any promises in that video from one of the creators.

From the brief glance I have taken, am I correct in assuming the SDK will only allow for campaign creation? Why bother calling it an SDK then? Why not just call-it a campaign editor. Seriously.

Secondly, they say by spring? Don't they mean spring of '10? I'm pretty sure they will find reasons to push it farther back, because after all, a more complete product is better than one with a lot of "bugs".

If only we could get a music player to choose which tracks we wanted to jam out to while playing, such as mechanical man or fight, win, prevail, etc.

Maybe that can be implemented in some way?

sigh, i'd love to enjoy them, but i keep getting "hl2.exe" errors on all of them. I'm not sure how i get that after freshly downloading them from steam, but all my other games work fine.
