I am a BF2 and BC2 fan myself, but I think it's far better that they made it for 1942. It's something everybody can get, not just for those people with more modern specs.

No offense, but very few mod teams actually work as hard as when you're doing your job that you're being paid to do.

Or at least that's how things work for me and many other people who mod games. Still though, it's hard to make this type of mod, so if you're working on it, then you're working hard. It's usually a lack of motivation.

You should at least divide the map into several sections. Regardless of how high vanilla Crysis' system requirements are, Crytek tried a lot to optimize both the game and its engine(which is why Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements), and you should do the same.

You need to have something new and intuitive. Project Reality was as realistic as a game/mod could get. AIX had good SP support and a lot of additions. FH2 was like a tactical shooter that wasn't too hard, but still played just like a tactical shooter. Normally I'd volunteer for the models, but I've got school and I can see you're already doing a great job.

You could just change the rate of fire to insanely high for the spartan laser and give it a red projectile. Dunno about the charging part though, and how high a rate of fire SA can have.

Well a good rule of thumb for those guys at halomaps.org is that you should always give credit to the creator. It works like this: you don't give credit or you probably just forgot, completely innocent, they think you claim it as yours. If that's what their knowledge is, even if they're not completely sure, they'll accuse you of either ripping or, like I said, claiming the models as yours.

There's also IPR, one thing you should be aware of.

By the way, you should use CMT's models if you want to. They've got a good Mk V model.

Well thanks for taking this maturely as well. Good to know that you are aware, but still, you could at least give Bungie and the HCE community a little bit of credit.

By the way, CMT released their tags a good amount of time ago, I could give you the models if you don't want to download the entire package(more than 100mb or so).

Now aren't these things ripped from Halo: Custom Edition. I remember that Spectre from Extinction. The only thing I haven't seen is the Cargo Hog, which someone has probably edited a little. The Pelican seems the H3 Pelican, though there is some guy who released an H3 Pelican model publicly. It's high poly though.

Though, if you have permission, or can prove to me they aren't ripped, you're fine. Otherwise you could potentially be in a real lawsuit with Microsoft(I dunno about Bungie, but they'll probably be left out of the case)

No, I just thought there would be a lower limit to the poly count on a really old engine, and when I didn't completely believe it, I figured the textures just looked good. But judging from your TMP, heck, it makes MY model look crappy(though it probably is).

I just really can't believe this is all in the GoldSrc engine. Maybe the textures just look too good? I mean you can have a crappy model but with some bump, specular, diffuse, and texture mapping you can have something that looks as good as HL2.

I could do some animating in 3DS Max 2010, though I do have some issues. I don't have a mouse, so I just borrow one from my dad, and that could hinder progress a little. Touchpads ain't bad, just that the middle mouse button is necessary in moving the camera, and although most touchpads have full scroll wheel and MMB functionality, it doesn't really like it when I use two fingers with it. If there's any other key for scrolling the camera, please tell me.
