I was confused at first about what this was because I mistook the title for a similarly-named mod (MidEast Crisis 2 for C&C3). But right now, I just realized they were different. Lol. Anyway, good luck with this mod, I guess... :)

I don't think it looks like the Paladin artillery, but I personally think the chassis looks a bit strange... Maybe the back end of the chassis could be made bulkier or extend its length then have the exhaust/engine larger to make it look more like the Abrams IRL. I don't really know exactly how to describe it but for visual reference, the chassis of the new Acolyte tank looks about what I'm thinking of...

If anyone was ever wondering (and if it hasn't been made known yet), you can make this work with Community Patch 1.06. Just edit the shortcut to generals.exe like you would with the unmodded ZH patched to 1.06 and you can play a more balanced game (imho) with realistic-looking units. :)

I was confused at first when I saw the first picture (the cat in the Lannister armor) because I'm also following this GoT mod for Mount&Blade. I thought I clicked on the wrong update. LMAO. Anyway, thank you so much for releasing this! Hallelujah!

Awesome news, guys! But I just want to point out that the paragraph about Red Tide was cut short. Lol. "While before it was just a generic call in it is now an extremely powerful ability. As long as(???)"

I was rather wondering how it was revamped so yeah...

He probably meant 'fragile' but not necessarily offensively weak. Anyway, I can't really say much about balance, only that those Chinese rocket artillery are definitely extremely annoying to fight against. :P

Oh, well that makes much more sense. XD I was actually about to say that the idea of replacing a Churchill with a Universal Carrier does indeed sound weird, but it's a good thing I waited for a response. Silly me. Lol.

Wow, you integrate new community content to your mod really fast. And I don't mean that to criticize, in fact, I think it's awesome! Great job. :)

BTW: Description says, "Crocodile upgrade." Sort of confusing, but I assume you mean it's a reward for the Churchill Crocodile?

"These Combat Medics have been trained in over 20 deadly martial arts with extra focus on destroying enemy armor. In battle, Combat Medics will combine their knowledge of steel-crushing punches and iron-denting kicks to inflict serious damage against tanks and to utterly destroy light vehicles.

Unfortunately, their extremely specialized training means that their fists are not as effective against human flesh as they are against armor and thus, they will not engage enemy infantry in hand-to-hand combat."

You have to understand that it's not an officially supported feature so the dev team probably has no control on when it gets fixed or not. And since it's not an official feature, I doubt the issue of it not working has any priority for them...

Here's a quote from Myriax: "This gamemode isn't supported anyway. You'll have to wait until it is updated (I cannot remember who on the team does it, but it isn't a main feature of the modification so if it doesn't work it's solely on whomever made it in the first place to update it.)"

Nope. It patches the 4.6.2.0 version of Blitzkrieg. To play this, install the latest full version of the mod, 4.6.1.1, then install 4.6.2.0, then apply this patch.

putoconcarne - - 80 comments @ Blitzkrieg-Mod 4.6.3.0 released

It tweaks the behavior of infantry squads so that they don't jump out of cover when not told to. This is almost similar to what the Hold Position button does, only it is now integrated to the behavior of the unit so you don't have to press anything.

This works for squads owned by human players, not just for AI players, in case people are confused by that.

putoconcarne - - 80 comments @ Company of Heroes: Modern Combat

I think it's fine the way it is. The way units are assigned to their specific production building in Modern Combat (or at least for the Americans, as I haven't played the PLA that much yet) is based on how they are for Wehrmacht (as well as for the British and the Panzer Elite, to some extent) units in the unmodded CoH: on the 'tier' the unit belongs to, which itself is derived sometimes from the unit's type but mostly from its intended effectiveness in the battle or how 'advanced' it is.

For example, the most powerful Wehrmacht units, the KCH, the Panzer IV, the Ostwind, and the Panther are built from the Panzer Command. The KCH is obviously not of the same unit type as the other three, but is there nonetheless because it is of the same level of power or 'advancedness' as they are. Even more disorganized is the Sturm Armory units, which puts together an anti-infantry armored car, a heavily armored assault gun, an artillery piece, and a one-man support unit all in one production building.

As for Blitzkrieg organizing units of the same type into one production building, well, I guess that's more of their personal preference. I myself also like how uniform and neat they are arranged, but then again, it's not all that necessary when the current system works just fine. :)

Lol, same here. I've always been tempted to play as an Axis tanker on Villers-Bocage and go all Michael Wittmann against British bots. :P Too bad those hedgerows make it really hard for you to see anything and yet have no apparent effect on AI players, which makes it really frustrating to use a Tiger because you can never tell that an Achilles is already flanking you or exchange shots with a Firefly that is pounding you from behind a hedgerow.

But my noobish whining aside, I guess that's just the way it is, as they are bots and aren't limited by actual line-of-sight. As Blacknyt42 said, you could always try to change your play style on maps like that. Alternatively, you could play on North African Theater maps which have plenty of well-lit open fields where you can get a clear view of the battlefield.

putoconcarne - - 80 comments @ ModDB MOTY 2012 - Top 100

Don't worry, I'm convinced that CoH 2 probably won't include the British and American factions at first release, so this mod will always have the edge of having more factions and thus, more unique match-ups---9 as opposed to just 1. That is, of course, until the expansions add more factions into the fray. But for the meanwhile, I'm sure that CoH:EF will still remain as strong and active as it is now even after CoH 2 is released. :)

What does that mean in terms of in-game stats though? And I personally use MP40's offensively in CoH (charging MP40-armed Volksgrenadiers straight at the face of enemy infantry and then unleashing hell at them) so I'm a bit confused by what you said. :/

I believe you need to re-apply the map installer every time you patch the mod. So install 4.6.1.1, then apply 4.6.2.0 patch, then install maps. As long as the map installer comes last, you can play on the Blitzkrieg mod suggested maps.

What do you mean by "the real one"? You can download a working installer of the mod (latest full version is Blitzkrieg-Mod v4.6.1.1) as well as the patches (latest patch is Blitzkrieg-Mod 4.6.2.0) from here in ModDB. I think you can also download from the mod's main site at blitzkrieg-mod.de, if that's what you mean by "the real one", but it's basically the same with the one here.

Noticed that Mosin-Nagants disappear when the camera isn't zoomed-in close enough. Even at the default camera position, they are missing from the hands of Ingenery, Conscripts, and Command Squad bodyguards. I believe this is a bug of some sort because Wehrmacht infantry guns are still visible even when the camera is fully zoomed out.

Haven't tested out with other Soviet guns.

Lower your graphics settings. Blitzkrieg mod strains your computer much more than the unmodified CoH. Try adjusting the graphics so that the memory usage is just below half.

I've also read that increasing virtual memory (just Google it if you want) could help. I did that when I had the same problem as yours but I'm not sure if it did any good for me.

Same here, I get stuck at that too when I try to check for updates through the launcher. Plus, when it does that, my internet goes all screwy and I can't even open up Firefox until I restart my computer since closing the launcher while it's still checking for updates doesn't seem to help.

Since I assumed that the launcher was screwing up my internet connection somehow, I assumed that trying to wait it out would be futile so I haven't tried what you did yet. Instead, I just disabled auto-update on the launcher and play it directly.

Aside from that, both mod and launcher seem to work perfectly fine though. :)

Very nice changes. :) There's one really (as in, really) minor thing that's bugging me though regarding this change: "* Set accuracy of KV1 main gun to: Short: 1.0; Medium: 0.6; long/distant: 0.75:

Why is the KV-1's main gun more accurate at long range than at medium range? Or is that just a typo? Lol. XD

Yeah, that would be cool. However, the mod is supposed to be focused on the Western front and of course, adding new factions means more units, doctrines, and other things to balance and polish. Lots and lots of work that would be. :(
