the fgd you can place anywhere you want.. just as long as you point to it when you setup hammer to map for NT..

the .vmf's go in your maps folder, as well as the .bsp

and again, you tell hammer where to look for maps when you set up it up to work with NT. (options menu)

i found a pic of an ISAF soldier sleeping in his apc (german or dutch i think) so thats the bit behind and the light, then the player model i rendered in max from various angles, and the gun the same.. then photo-chopped it all together, then hit it with a paintover pass.. just a normal standard round brush set to like 80% opacity so it has some "stutter" in the trail as you paint.

this weapon fires a very large round.

any "blockiness" in these weapon renders is because the more geometry detail you put on a game model, the more resources get taken up, causing framerate to drop. We did not spend any effort putting detailing into our "weapon" models in areas that the first person view would never see.. as a matter of fact often the backside faces are deleted or devoid of detail, hence "blocky." These pimp shots are purely for you to see the weapons we have included, and they are dressed up as nicely as possible, but they are NOT models that you might see in a cg film where it's necessary to have them as realistic as possible from all angles.
