I think Brutal Doom is the true spiritual successor of the original Doom series from the '90s, even under a modern engine, with expanded and more complex mechanics, it succeeds in bringing back the old gameplay and atmosphere. The game is very enjoyable even after many hours; thanks to the many options included, and also to the secondary mods uploaded here, it is highly customizable, allowing to vary the gameplay to own preference.
I often even forget this is technically an amateurish project, given the high quality of the game and the high attention given to details; there are some very minor bugs and flaws which keep being resolved at every release. The authors are clearly people who know what they're doing and truly appreciated the original Doom series. Sometimes people from the fanbase understand better than software houses what fans liked or not game, and therefore are better at creating something that is a true reflection of what people wanted to see in their game.
High praise for you, I spent so many hours of fun thanks to this mod. Keep up with the good work!

I've changed my vote to 9 to 10. This game has indeed various flaws and bugs, but it's very fun to play, it works good enough and keeps improve itself at every release. Given the fact that this game is amateurish and completely free, I think the authors deserve a great praise for their work.
