I like mods. A lot. Also, I play drums. I am going to the Art Institute of Philadelphia for Film.
Very atmospheric. Just based on this image one might confuse this for a horror mod.
Well, you've succeeded in making the structure look Russian, though my knowledge of Russian architecture is based solely on playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Do you guys recommend playing this on the steam version of half-life or the CD version? I honestly am not sure if there's any BIG differences, other than things like the flashlight's effect. Also, I'm planning on donating money to you guys but I wanted to know what will be done with it. Do you guys split it up evenly or is it purely used to keep the site running? Your answer will not change my donation.
That would of course be cool, but wouldn't we be talking about a large leap in programming/coding ability? I have no technical experience so I do not know myself.
Hope you found a level designer. Any news on progress? Throwing the 365 people that are watching this mod a bone would be awesome!
The arms and face are a little blocky and the hands are too thin but overall an excellent job! Hans Grosse turned out excellent as well.
It's a shame doom mods aren't more popular here on Moddb because this looks promising.
Hope this will actually come out on the 1st, looks good.
Nope, I can't wait for this anymore. I'm just going to have to freeze myself until it's released.
What sucks, the props? They do not.
Thank god they have their own site, because this comment section has an unbearable amount of stupid in it.
The name is fine. Afraid of Monsters is a terrible name but they created an excellent mod. Though, A Story of Madness isn't even a bad name. Also, I feel like I am going through meth withdrawal having not seen an update for a month. That's when you know you're looking forward to a mod.
Hey I would just like to know if you were still developing Quietus. I really enjoyed the "demo" or whatever it was; It's one of the most atmospheric mods I've come across.
It would be awesome if you threw us an update every once in a while. It's been almost a year since your last update. Just let us know if you're still working on it!
To be honest, I'd definitely be willing to buy Petrograd. I mean, obviously I wouldn't pay like, $50 for it but it WAS a pretty ambitious project. Anyone know an expected price range?
Well, he hasn't been online since December 31st. Either he has died or the mod has.
Loving it. I like how the light reaches out just enough to present the ominous darkness further in the cave. As a side note, I hate using phrases like "ominous darkness."
Also, there's a live set of my band on my youtube account.
@TheHollowNight If you go on to my youtube account page it should be in the "about me" section. We're breaking up but reforming into a hardcore/powerviolence mix band. Anyway, @MajorBanter Yeah not enough mod teams do that. It's always just you as Gordon Freeman getting into some sort of generic hijinks. I love to see unique mods like this one.
Very meticulously crafted.
I'll be honest, usually when I see a mod that takes place in the Half-life universe I tend to dismiss it. I must say though this seems like a pretty original concept that's going in the right directions. So, tracking.
I can see why there would be that much of a wait. Most great mods on here have taken more than just a year after all.
Hey man, I do like your mod overall, but that one part ****** me off. The one where you have to fend off the continuous swarm of guys and aren't given any ammo... I'm surprised you didn't fix that in the second release. Like the guns, though they are somewhat lacking in detail. Still, I hope you learn from your mistakes because you have some really good ideas.
Definitely showing signs of improvement. I'll be waiting to see your next mod too!
Is that corpse's torso coming out of the wall?
Not quite sure why I didn't track this earlier. Looks like it's gonna be awesome.
I didn't notice in your update that you now have a donation thing going. I'll definitely chip in a few bucks for the effort.
Wow, talk about ambitious.
****! I am obsessing over this mod these days... It's hard to convey to you, the developers of this game, how much anticipation is building up. This relatively uneventful in-game picture you guys submitted has at least partially succeeded in satiating my irrational hunger for content from this mod. In short: looking forward to it.
