Mapping was basic and mod lacked polish. Having said that, I saw some really great ideas here. The part with the hallway and the mirrors breaking and the part right at the end were done pretty well. More non-HL monsters would be cool. Custom content is paramount in horror mods especially. For people that have played HL2 and any of the plethora of mods available, familiarity takes away from the horror atmosphere. Good so far, keep it up!

Well, now I'm a lot more excited for this mod. It looks like it's going to turn out to be incredibly faithful to Wolfenstein 3d. The attention to recreate the environments shows an intimacy towards the source material.

Yeah. The primary source of frustration came mostly towards the end and also the very end of the game. Whenever you were trying to ascend a series of objects especially as in the finale was really annoying because they kept knocking me off. Again, I did like the mod. I, like you, gave it an 8 when it came out in 2009.

I liked Korsakovia, just not as much as Dear Esther. My only gripes are the combat and the mapping. The maps I felt were too open spaced at parts, while some of the indoor environments were too alike, too monotonous. Fighting the invisible creatures, which as everyone knows were invisible fast zombies, was annoying I found. Mainly a nuisance at the end of the game when you are ascending that surreal junk pile. Personally, I felt that the way the enemies were designed and implemented into the mod actually broke my immersion a little bit. It's cool that Chinese Room keep trying new things, but I flat out didn't like dealing with the enemies. What I'm dying to wait for is the Dear Esther remake.

I really liked the mod. It pretty much turned out the way I had wished. It was successfully atmospheric, had good voice acting (certainly above par considering the norm around here), and had fun gameplay. Of course, there are a few gripes I have to confess. The scares were well integrated and creative, but I felt that some of your ideas were perhaps TOO influenced by other games, with situations almost directly ripped.
***SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER*** Many were like F.E.A.R. like the part with the morgue where the bodies shoot out and the "alternate world" scenarios. You could also relate your idea with the manikins to a situation in the first Condemned game. Keep in mind, I still thought these were well executed. Also, the part with the SWAT guy that goes crazy: at first I couldn't tell which one was going crazy and shot the wrong one, twice. Though that's a minor complaint and probably my fault. ***END SPOILER END SPOILER*** Also, there seemed to be a lot of random buggy sounds, like the flashlight toggle, that drew from the immersion of the whole experience. Also, perhaps the guns should have been more powerful and the enemies hit harder, whereas they were weak and I had to use a lot of bullets. It may seem like I found more flaws than strengths, but that's not true. This is definitely one of the more well-executed mods I have seen. Again, I was immersed the entire time, the VA and music were well done, I even *spoiler* cared when one of my squadmates got hurt. *endspoiler* I would love to see what else you guys come up with in the near future. This mod was certainly worth the wait. 9/10
