I'm Rob Kimball. I play Photoshop.
Yes, we haven't had an opportunity to ensure that the game works on Windows 7 in this revision. We can verify that it runs well on XP and Vista, and we will support 7 in a future update. Sorry for the inconvenience. :/
The game is still undergoing development, but you can check out our progress in the pre-alpha release in the downloads section above. That was released just this past week!
Depends on what you wanna do. There's plenty of guides on this site already about how to get started. Search around. :)
The game is 3D.
Thanks for your approval! Releases will be more frequent as time goes on, but we'll also try to avoid pushing a release out prematurely. You can always check out the latest version via SVN (if you don't mind building the game from the source!): Trac.wildfiregames.com
The Mac can be a little bit of a hassle when building from the source. What's your OS?
The game probably doesn't work on Windows 7, but we know it works on XP and Vista at the very least. If you're having issues, we welcome you to visit our forums or the IRC channel for more immediate help with any issues you come across.

Although we haven't done enough testing to have definite requirements for optimized gameplay on a range of operating systems, we have anticipated some system recommendations on our site: Wildfiregames.com
If you're having trouble getting the game working, we welcome you to visit us in our IRC channel.

The Linux installers we have available are contributed by members of our community. If we come across someone using Ubuntu that has the game built, we'll be sure to upload their build.
Keep in mind that the majority of our artistic assets are not present in the current build, and probably won't be until the final release. Also, there's a considerable amount of compression involved here.
Thanks Mike. :)
Mod Pack Studio must be installed in order to run the RaW Mod Pack. You can download either:
* Mod Pack Studio Lite 2.0 (used only to install mods) - 1.96 MB
* Mod Pack Studio 2.0 (used to install and make mods) - 3.82 MB
Note: Both versions of MPS will install either version of RaW.
See the RAW homepage for more information: Wildfiregames.com
Even then, we plan to have a long beta release period that maximizes our bug fixes before the "1.0".
Just right-click the "view original" link next to the title and open the link in a new tab. You'll get this link:
HDR hasn't been implemented. :)
CC-BY-SA is our CreativeCommons licensing information. It basically dictates what we as developers permit you to do with the work we release.
Although in the current version of the game, the animals do just stand around and accept your aggression, we will have natural AI some time in the future that does allow for the type of behavior that you described.
Unfortunately, your ship's commander will be smarter than that and will stop the ship before you do something stupid. : )
Of course, a mod that allows for this sort of careless destructive behavior would certainly be doable. Your challenge would be ensuring that it does damage to any nearby buildings or units, particularly docks, in which case this action could actually have an application.
Don't worry, there is a day/night cycle. This just happens to be during the night. :)
Thanks for voting everyone! And if we don't make the cut this year, we'll always have 2010 to look forward to!
In case of a tie, yes. Otherwise, they are not considered in the final tally.
Props for seeing that movie. :D
Actually, there is a bit of a demo in there, so yes, there is something to install.
Unfortunately my developmental partner went inactive and we never reached all of the goals we had hoped to, but the nutcracker can be found at aom.heavengames.com in the Downloads section.
Oh, it very much is. :D
Sorry for the wait guys. I've been busy with 0 A.D. stuff.
You can find the ReadMe online here: Purpledesignstudios.com
Here's some more info about the mod: Purpledesignstudios.com
Sorry for any wait. It seems as though I've left the ReadMe files out of the ModDB release. The release link below will include the readme if you want them locally.
If the download doesn't work, download from here: Aom.heavengames.com
If you can't find the readme files, they're online here: Purpledesignstudios.com
