After studying scenic arts (theoretical and practical research in theatre, the new media and especially in between ;)) at the university of Hildesheim, Germany, I am now looking forward to become a writer and editor of texts for games and other media! :) My interest in modding is not only scientific (diploma thesis on the deve- lopment of computer game modifications) but also artistically minded, as in my first project, the Far Cry "SturmMOD", in which William Shakespeare's play "The Tem- pest" meets Far Cry... Although I`m currently busy writing for commercial adventure games, I try to help where I can, so if you got a problem or questions or simply want to chat, don`t hesitate to contact me! :)

Agreed, such a slow elevator would only make sense IMHO in order to create tension e.g. while the player has to fight back hordes of enemies... ;)

Enjoyed playing this mod, kudos to the team behind it for giving me new perspectives on the events in HL1 and HL2 (my favorite part was the vent shaft-race against Barney ^^)! :)

Enjoyed playing the demo and think this mod has great potential if it further amplifies its already amazing atmosphere by using even more custom content! :)

Unfortunately UT3 crashes every time I start WL via one of the *.bat files... is there maybe another way to run it or do I have to wait for the UDK version? :/ Would really like to try out this mod! :)

Is the slow speed of the player characters intended in order to create tension or will you speed them up to make the gameplay more hectic and challenging?

The colouring IMHO makes the soldier look like an Elite version of the guards (purple is a very noble colour)... couldn`t there be different types of guards, from standard guards in black and white up to a small group of Elite guards who are dressed like the guy above and can take and deal more damage? ;)

"Dear Esther" in my humble opinion not simply IS but BECOMES a piece of art in its finale when the journey of the player over the island and the story bits are set in a relation which challenges the player mentally and emotionally. The mapping may not be on the same quality level as the brilliant writing and the eerie yet beautiful music are but after all the real art lies in the COMPOSITION of those elements which together shape and build up the foundation from where the final revelation can arise... :)

Challenging mappack with interesting puzzles, especially the second part is recommendable for every Portal fan though its ending came a bit suddenly. :/ All in all: 8/10 :)

Nice concept, reminds me of Mayan architecture, could be interesting to let the player chase an enemy or be chased over these roofs in parkour-style! :)

IMHO the only thing looking odd in this room is the position of the table on the table, how did that happen (can`t see a door to barricade for example)? :/ Apart from that: Great mapping and fitting level of detail, keep up the good work! :)

Looks awesome and IMHO deserves an own introduction, like you see a burning zombie through a window, running out of sight and if you enter the room he was in there lies a heap of ash and charred bones on the ground - which suddenly springs to life and attacks the player, maybe as a boss enemy! :)

Have to agree with wilsonC here, if the sequence is not too long and if more importantly the transitions are seamless and the action shown is kind of a "WOW!"-moment, a NIS could work well! :)
