Triple A Studio Games and engines are there as a business its perfectly fair to charge for the game engines.
Take a render at a good camera angle this a really bad view to upload pics at.
Have you ever thought of taking this stand alone so far the content shown of crysis 2 do not really warrant the need to have crysis 2 installed i do not have crysis 2 and really want to play this.
Thats not really the engine thats physics settings and coding since Unity has a few options to change physics and mass of objects.

@Jokerme comparing this to old Source shots since i have followed Raindrops progress a while i disagree. I have looked into both engines myself and Unity is basically like a blank canvass imho you program in lighting features and graphical features as needed where as source to a degree is all provided for you. However both engines while Source i consider a little dated are good with pros and cons on each.
More Source fans. Perhaps they are planning to make the game like this in the first place plus the fact you cant tell what mood the game is portraying in this screenshot looks a damn sight better than anything I have seen done with source engine. Why is it mods or games get so much crap when they make a decision to move off source engine there are other good engines out there and if all good developers used source engine it would be severely limiting what they can achieve. Karma me down if you want but i feel we should be more accompanying to developers choice of engine that's all.

Looks to be some nice progress however im concerned that the pistol looks to be a far better quality model to every other gun i hope you will be remaking some models or atleast go over the textures again.

hmm i think the best way would either a low-ish poly sphere halved and welded to the mesh or planar modeling the eye shape out and welding to the mesh.

I really like the lighting but not the textures. On the closest building just look really fake. Also idk if its because this isnt done but the missing bits near the van are also a bit dodgy. Also i like the lamppost model but its texture is again very plain and the model itself appears to be hovering

Halo dropship style has been around since 90's sci movies and games. I have to say looks really good not sure what the front clyinders are looks like missile launchers if so theres a bit too overkill on how many there are.

Just one thing if your gonna use the gasmask for a bad guy could you alter the eye holes design a bit atm it looks a bit unnatural possibly even comical.
A very nice piece of concept art i agree with WNxKraid change the gasmask too as it is making the character look a bit evil. I think a half gasmask or no gas mask or one showing someway of seing the face behind it clearly would go along way to making sure the player knows friend or foe.

if they didnt how easy do u think it is to tell a fake from a real at a distance. Anyway i like the detail on the flash hider also the the handguard looks like it could be a bit smoother. If you want to use this as a portfolio piece i would work on making the model smoother highpoly and really add as much detail as you feel it needs. Then it needs texturing and rendering.
i havent forgot and oh i thought it was just release my bad $15 is good value and i love to see the dev process well then if you try on kickstarter im sure ill find money to donate and i do appreciate you bascially have coded your own engine is indeed very impressive (i cant comprehend how hard that is im an artist) i hope you get the funding you need and release. id love to make maps for this which is one thing this has above ravaged atm. also if you released the engine to let others make indies id love to use this engine for my game project it looks like it could be better than udk one of the best indie made engines i have ever seen.
on kickstarter this would be competing against ravaged both this and ravaged are looking very awesome but the main reason i donnated to ravaged was to do with the fact for $25 i get alot of content (game copy and beta/alpha) making it seem like a worth while purchase but unfortunatley i dont have enough money to spare for this one which seems equally awesome but doesnt look near enough finished. Still anxiously await this game and if you launch i kickstarter later i may donate.

With a big city there is several locations that would be less generic with horrors its now difficult to scare anyone in the typical locations as its been done so many times they know what to expect.

The subject matter is good but the modeling is letting this down. I also love the lighting.
Generally u are allowed some artistic license with that to make the blade just curve in so you cant see the progression from flat of the blade to the point but i will look at the pic as i do not know the actual model. I also like how you have payed attention to details like screws and bolts on the handle :)

Thats not just a good model imo that would be selling it short thats a very good well detailed correctly proportioned model with no real errors i can see at all very well done duke. Other than a grey on grey render i see nothing really at fault. AO render would be nice to properly show the details in the model but congrats on a fine model.

Face texture is a bit odd but everything else is good
I don't think the floor texture looks right it seems stretch fitted not scaled properly from this shot. But i generally think that the floor texture doesn't suit the environment. Also the arc as Cybertrance mentioned too doesn't fit Black Mesa style. However i like most of the map otherwise
Dam makes my zombie look crap it really looks like a quite classic style which is nice change great detailing of the face looks anotomicaly correct. The hair for me at the moment looks too out of place not realistic like the rest of the face. All in all very good work

I love the model but i agree with DeviantGerman about the scratch effects and i also feel the texture could do with a shinier specular atm it feels to me like the texture is too matte

I understand it not a lot into modern art thought the talent doesn't seems to be there so much as other art styles however i do know Picasso is widely regarded as a top artist and definitely forefront figure of modern art :D i just think its not that great xD.(Thus proves i know a bit about art)
its quite good id like to see a non textured version so i can see the details on the helicopter as id really love to see all the metal plate joinings and other small details which would make this model amazing :)

if thats the case then lower the polygon detail around the trigger and ring making it a simple flat shape and smoothing on 3ds max doesn't up the polygon.
no... l4d is an arcade run and gun with zombies we are attempting something like the realism in mods like insurgency but with a zombie enemy and other unique features. I hope that this will be nothing like l4d accept they both have zombies and guns.
we never really left its just progress has slowed a bit all mods and indies go through bad timing :)

the texture is nice but presumably if a rowing boat has sunk it would take some damage like broken wood in the hull and damaged oars for me the model needs that bit of work

well its not how i would model a gun using planes can be a bit awkward i prefer to start it with a box and just add polygons using a symmetry modifier on the other side
Good work for me the model is great but the gun metal texture could do with being a bit brighter on specular and i dont remember seeing a tokarev in a dark grey colour i always thought they were light grey.Also some scratches as from looking at the texture it looks like your going for a well used style i love the red star texture in the handle though. All in all i like it nice work Wird :)

Looks okay although you should of used a tube for the barrel that bit doesn't look right also doesn't look very low poly. I also find it horrible to stick the photo as a texture and i would of just left it one material until i had a texture ready

Its quite a nice model accept there seems to be quite a few polygon errors and no smoothing groups which deffinatley need working on if your going to use this for a game or mod. However coloured backround renders look terrible with a non textured model imo.

You need to look into getting a more curved shape at the moment it looks like a 2d shape extruded

Edit just saw your wire frame on your profile you need to also make sure you use as little triangular geometry as possible as it will produce bugs in the lighting and make correct uv mapping a lot more difficult.
Atm there are way too many hard edges for my liking it seems like you have a grasp of the basic shape but you need to work on making the geometrey clean and cut some more polygons in the corner to give the effect of a smooth curve. Keep at it though its looking good.

I would think about putting some fortification walls around the castle or add a similar amount of detail as the terrain is atm the tower looks far too clean. With it being in such a hostile environment as fire and brimstone look it might be worth making the stone work look weathered cracked and some visible damage in places maybe chunks missing from the stone work that is obvious from a distance. Other than that its a really awesome looking environment, interesting to look at good modeling and texture work and well planned out. Looking forward to getting this.
That has to be one of the best sci fi horror atmosphere i have ever seen so eerily quiet combined with loud machines really set the adrenaline going just watching it if im not too scared definatley going to get this (also reminds me of the atmosphere that system shock tried to create and love the unique style of the space station setting.

Really love the use of lighting and blend in colors in all of them id happily have one of those paints as a full size print to hang up on a wall cant give you much better crit than that way better than i can do.

After having used to playing this mod more than most games and my multiplayer fps of choice it kinda seems like this is dying now not many decent servers excluding really poor custom maps or ridiculous plugins.
I wouldnt say your a bad artist everyone has stuff to they can improve on. The perspective looks about right i would say the steering wheel could of been made 3D easily enough but it looks ok to me.

More fantastic work i really have no criticisms against it you are an amazing concept artist.
The game is currently in closed alpha. Reporting patch updates lets the community know we are working to fix problems occurring and make the mod the best we can make it. But i get how its confusing for people outside of the alpha rest assured that if its public alpha/beta then it would be well documented.

Super cars are a term for high performance manufacturer cars tuned or modified is used for heavily modded cars or drag race cars for cars that attempt to break speed records over here.

I have to say you have really improved allot this a pretty accurate F1 car model i will say a better render at a different angle would be better and it looks a bit over smoothed in places but overall a very good piece.

This is a really good piece i love the detail on the house and the overall lighting. Would also be easy to use your concept when producing an environment for a game.
Looks alright tone wise but the perspective is a bit off and when you get the perspective wrong on works like this one your mind immediately looks at the faults of the painting.

metal looks a bit too rusty but i like the scratches. Plus the metal rust is spotty which is a bit off. Model seems fine tho and i like your attention to details with the label.
Some good work here the lighting could be better with spot lighting atm the light shinning looks a bit too bright i would make it a bit of a duller shine on the floor

I think for a render like this you really need a texture for the floor and walls if you are going to do a leaning against the wall shot texture and mode look decent tho good work.

Actually i would say apart from a few bits like the bolts its a low poly model but how you would define that would be the game engine its going in really for source engine it looks like itd be a bit high but for UDK its low.

Sometimes its not a case of being real fans its a case of urging the developers on they have a very good product we all just want to them to not slow down developing it. At this point in time modders should not be doing a better job developing than the dev team or they should think about hiring the modders if thats the case.

Played through a bit of the alpha this has the potential to be a good game i would like to see improvements to all the models at some point not a massive fan of the current ravager demon it seems that it was made with out conceptualising it properly. Keep up the good work.

Character and background is looking really good but i feel that you could add a shadow to the character atm i get the feeling that he is pasted on top and not actually in the setting shown. Good work though.
Really love this pic the perspective and scrible line effect on the dead body make this really interesting to look at.
I feel its not the wall texture which is the problem i feel that the floor texture is blending too much into the wall texture.
Sort of reminds of minecraft atm with the shape of cave atm being sort of cube shaped. I really like the colours used however and the spider looks quite creepy good work.

It looks like theres something dodgy on the front pistol grip to me maybe not enough polygons but it should be much more curved surface.
From my experience no it can cause these creases or other visible issues.
Really not a bad model could do with some detailing and following the reference more closely and some polygon errors to fix you need to make sure there is no polygons coliding and a structured spacing on geometry but not bad at all :)

There is no real bright textures it might mean the specular highlight might be a little bright but it is based on reference that the handle is supposed to have flecked paint not blood therefore is quite shinny.
lower the contrast im not sure what you mean by that if you mean the shadows on the texture then thats to do with the lighting used on the render.
Its an okay model but it looks as if theres some polgon issues on the grip or lighting issues aswell as the trigger or its odd how its dark grey ish and not monotoned.

Purely amazing looking post appocalypitic weapon model is excelent and the style is inspirational also love the amount of detail i have to say this one is one of my favourite shotguns and what id use as an example of Indie at its best

allthough releasing developement pics like this good i do agree with Magnum that too many pictures of untextured models not rendered nicely. Also if ure doing a development pics either put em all together either in one picture on news posts or feature or make an animation to show the changes all of which are easy to do.
There doesnt look to be much detail such as scratch and other wear but if its supposed to brand new then fine. However i think even then some light scratch shape brush on the specular might make the gun appear to be more real. Mostly im really just nit picking at this its a preety good diffuse and a brilliant spec map all in all very good job much better than i can currently do :P plus the modeler also has done an amazing job on the detail of the gun.

I presume both are easy once you get it using one personaly it took alittle while to get used to 3ds max but then its actually really straight forward and easy to use.

I think that you do have a talent for story making but you could use some better grammar in some parts. For example Arisen for me would be better as Awoken. Plus you describe what everything is as basic facts which for me distracts from the story your trying to tell. Im also not a huge fan of narration in stories like this i feel it would be better to tell it entirely from a first person perspective or mostly.
in the film its run i know that much

Interesting design looks a bit too low poly on the hull compared to the fan motors that look fairly highpoly. Also very nice render.

Thanks for the feedback there is a waste bin its unlikely i can make a car at this moment. Also the lack of lights on is simply due to the fact there is not much going on down there atm it would simply make the image less apealing.About the light in windows it is supposed to be recently abbandoned. I will be adding street signs advert banners and neon.

a really good prop texture is very good and a decent specular highlight could do with maybe being slightly more dirty perhaps 2 versions of the same texture.
i love the mask its not so bad as well colouring needs more time spent on it and i like your sketchy style.

you cant of played to many total conversion mods then they were not very good weapon models i have to say some better than others though and the overall mod however was amazing

It looks good but to me its not looking like what i see of Britain at the moment it hasnt got the rural look of britain yet. Also are you planning on making your own models? Using L4D2 props will be more American and therefore look out of place. I am also making a Zombie Mod based in Britain on a similar theme to this.

I like it at the moment I feel the texture suits TF2 and cartoony style hand painted look but it's really good model. I was going to attempt alucards colt handcannon a while ago never got around to it
this is probably the first time i have said this but that barrel looks way too smooth i do not know if it is like this in the actual ppsh but it almost looks organic in nature other than that i like it but it could be better it could also benefit from a better render like a ambient occlusion one to show of the hard surface detail

looks very blocky i never advise modeling for rts or strategy games as u dont get to hone in your skills however it looks ok accept its seems to be 2d but extruded out. And even with a low polycount budget you should work on the overall shape

Very nice work and interesting choice of veichle i think when the texure is finished this will be a very nice model. I would however like to see some fog lights on the roof and detail done to the wheels.
